Default How to Become a HacKer?

It all started from curiosity…Gathering knowledge for a simple reason : Know more..Well hacking is a large field and it’s always good to start from somewhere. I’ve been googling for years “How to Become a Hacker?” and I found out that no one told me what I needed to hear to get excited and move on to harder and even more exiting hackable stuff…
And after three years of seeking I finally came up with a clear article assembling most of iLabz hacking’s articles for the benefits of our readers and visitors in general…

First of all here’s some awesome Links that will help you to start from scratch to get a general information about hacking and you’ll find out more interesting stuff if you became really “Hackaholic” so here it is:

http://www.criticalsecurity.net/

http://www.hackthissite.org/

https://hackbloc.org/

http://www.remote-exploit.org/

Critical Security: That’s one of my favorites hacking forum , and it contains like everything to motivate you and give you like a perfect launch into vast domain: hacking…

Hack this site: As its name describes it , Hack this site…It’s basically a virtual training ground for hackers , you’ll discover many things on your own and you can get any help you need from critical security any time you need.

Hackbloc: What else does the hacking community needs? A magazine of course and here it is you can download the “zine” from Hack bloc and It’s really interesting I’m sure you’re going to love it so give it a try…

Remote exploit: Here comes the “pro” thingy , this great team of noble hackers made some perfect tools to Hack! We’ll talk ‘bout that more later…

That was a list of my favorite links I’m sure that every hacking freak have its own favorite links and online spots don’t ever forget , Hacking is all about sharing…

Remember that information is made to be Free! Unfortunately commercialism is against that…And that’s when hackers were born…

So why not starting with few simple hacks also called exploits that will give a fun twist to hacking:
  • Facebook hacks: 1 2
Now let’s talk a bit on hacking’s History:

Hackers Tools:

  • Remote-Exploits: presents Backtrack the real hacking OS whish is a great tool in web hacking and wireless hacking (WEP Hacking for example )
Some basic definitions:

White hat:

A white hat hacker breaks security for non-malicious reasons. This type of hacker enjoys learning and working with computer systems, and consequently gains a deeper understanding of the subject. Such people normally go on to use their hacking skills in legitimate ways, such as becoming security consultants. The word ‘hacker’ was originally used to describe people such as these.

Grey hat:

A grey hat hacker is a hacker of ambiguous ethics and/or borderline legality, often frankly admitted. These are the hackers who are in the middle of good and evil.

Black hat:

A black hat hacker is someone who subverts computer security without authorization or uses technology (usually a computer or the Internet) for vandalism (malicious destruction), credit card fraud, identity theft, intellectual property theft, or other types of crime. They are also known as “crackers”.

Cyberterrorist:

A Cyberterrorist uses technology to commit acts of terrorism. Their intentions are to cause physical, real-world harm to social, ideological, religious, political, or governmental establishments. Such as using DOS (Denial of Service) attacks to take down entire websites.

Script kiddie:

A script kiddie is a non-expert who breaks into computer systems by using pre-packaged automated tools written by others. These are the outcasts of the hacker community.

Hacktivist:

A hacktivist is a hacker who utilizes technology to announce a political message.

As a first impression about hacking I’m sure you got exited and hope you got motivated to start seeking your own info and why not discovering or building new hacking tools to make information Free again…

First of all, the picture above is annoying. This is not what a hacker looks like.

Second, do you call these hacking?! LMAO

As hacking challenges take a look also at HBH.
As zines, take a look also at PHRACK.
As exploits, take a look also at milw0rm.

By the way, nice article...

lol @ you... who's taking it personal? who talked about personal issues?
As for me, I first thought that you're the one who wrote this article and I replied by adding additional information and resources that one can look at.
I criticized the hacking exploits mentioned because yeah, these are not really considered as exploits and those are for skiddies.
About the picture, yeah it's inappropriate since it does not really represents a hacker; A hacker is like any other person in look.
By the way, why do you feel insulted or personally attacked since you're not the one who wrote this article?!
And we're not all professionals here, that's why we should not bias some concepts; We should grasp the real exact concepts.
I know that you're trying to help members in the forum that's why I told you "nice article". It was not a sarcasm.

Personal? And you mean by that I'm calling you silly? No. I'm serious. This has nothing to do with personal issues. It's not about How. It's more about why in the first place. Did you ask yourself this question? I guess not.

Drive with me; You hit Google for a hacking guide, you copy, you paste, and you post. You see an attractive picture, yes, why not, let's post it, its a bit.. well, cool. You see skiddies stuff, you put it, it's cool after all.
Do you see what I see? It's not in -any-way personal. I respect your help purpose, and I'm sure it took you time, I understand, but I had to comment.
Keep up the hard work.
