What do we need to learn as lebanese ??

Hello all,

After yesterday painful events, I tried to understand and consider how and why anyone can hold a gun and kill another person for the simple reason that he is different?

How come we as Lebanese and whom we try hard to pretend that we are civilized go that low?

How we are still unable to understand that variety is a plus and it does enrich our society?

Why should I kill or hate the person that is not like me?

Is it tolerance, acceptance, or what precisely that we are lacking……

I am really trying to understand what went wrong because I believe that I should be the change that I would like to see happening……

Maybe what you are saying is true, but as lebanese what is our role ??
Are we only victims of this ?? Where is our responsibilty towards this country or vis a vis my fellow lebanese brother....

Maybe if we confronted the truth that WE DID KILL EACH OTHER and forget the theory about THE GREAT CONSPIRACY then and only then we would have reached some conclusions...

But we lived in denial and blamed others for our bloodshed and we are ready now to start it all over....

Well let's revue the events before all the clashes, all we could see on TVs where politicians attacking each others, 3am bi 3abo the people with hatred, calling each other stupid, 3omala, criminals... They accumulate all this in people then when people unleash all this hatred politicians filled them with, you see the politicians calling for restraint!!!!! The sad thing is that le jeudi par exemple, I don't know if you had the chance to view all the channels bass par exemple when the fights began while NTV and LBCI started to call for calm before politicians did, NBN was still "3am bit 7aredone 3a ba3d"!! and continued to do so until berri called for calm! (I didn't watch Manar or FTV so I can't comment on them - and the comments that I said only include the times I watched those channels)
