Download/Upload usage problem

I've been having this problem for a while. My download/upload usage has been kind of strange, although other people in my house use the dsl, I am sure even as a sum it doesn't even come close to 40% of the download/upload that has been recorded on the account. What are the possible causes of this excess download/upload that is not compatible with my usage ? I noticed it started last month by the way, I along with everyone in the house basically consume a sum of around 150 MB a day (dl+up) at most, pretty low, so are there any causes for this that I am not aware of ?

If you're an OGERO subscriber, that shouldn't be weird at all !!

explain please ? I've noticed some irregularities like usage fluctuating up and down without reason, which is weird itself because why would it move down after suddenly moving up, but do you mean to say it's Ogero trying to be smart ?

I've heard rumors about ogero being smart...

but there is something else you can try to do

make sure windows update is canceled on all computers, make sure no programs are updating on all computers, we've had problems at home because of some apple softwares and apple updaters on my(windows) computer... they used to download 70 MB updates that did not seem all that important...

well I am certain of having no updates neither the other computers. It's alarming because It has only started last month which is when the supposed improvements should have happened ( although I still have same speed 512 , for same price ... well actually it's worse now because they combined the download and upload quota together lol that's the only thing they managed to change ...pathetic) Anyway I'm sure there's something wrong, for instance I used to use at maximum 500 MB upload the whole month for the past 2-3 years, now I'm 6 days in the month only and I already have 500 MB + upload and 2 GB + download which is nonsensical considering I'm hardly using the internet myself and other computers are also barely using it. I suspect there might be something wrong from Ogero's side, but I wanted to know if there is any other cause for this ... If I know for sure there is no other, I can simply cut my subscription with Ogero.

at my home I ask everyone to keep task manager opened on networking, if a byte goes up without reason, I wanna know about it

anyway all the companies combined upload and download...the cap really didn't go up higher as the minister claims...

Yes, but it's still the same price for me, same speed. everything is the same. Only before I actually had 4 GB for download alone and 4Gb for upload alone, now they're 4 GB combined while everything else remained the same unlike what most other companies did.

I thought they'de at least wait to combine the download and upload once they actually updated everything else ...

kinda drifting away from the point but it's always appropriate to take a rant at Lebanese companies.

well we can't help much, the only thing you can do is monitor it super closely, and if they are indeed cheating you, change the provider...

Is your router's name still Blinkxxxxxx? Did you ever change the Security on your connection?
Someone might be stealing your connection. Blink's default WEP keys are the easiest thing to crack.

I thought about that when I established the connection, but I live alone in the building, and I doubt anyone around is within my reach. Actually I can't even connect sometimes if I move far in the building, so didn't bother about improving security. Do you have an idea, anyway of how much the router's reach is ?
