The Orange Room is down...Vcoderz is lately dead..What do? Benefit from the situation before it's late. This could really work because vc and the orange room are sister forums and their members share the same interests.

this is getting fun now, a guy named patrick bassil is claiming to be head of tayyar.org and putting the blame on hagop. And that he closed it down.
Dunno if he is trolling or its real.

He's not trolling. He is head of Tayyar.org.

And we know the story already. Tayyar.org staff, or someone higher from FPM demanded more restrictions on the political forum, and specially against heavy criticisms against FPM that were trending lately..
Hagop refused to abide, and decided to close the whole forum without notifying anyone beforehand and quit.

If someone has any info that negates what I just said please let them come forward with it or else, let's cut the bullshit and stop the drama

So it obviously is not an issue of restrictions on the forum, its a matter that goes farther than that maybe.

I don't know the guy. But I trust the one who quoted him.

Anyway, be it restrictions the reason of the conflict between X and FPM or other reasons, I don't think we'll know what really happened there. And it shouldn't be of our concern anyway.

What is sure is FPM or Tayyar.org didn't demand for the forum to close! They still have the forum link on the main page of tayyar.org btw.

What X did is definitely wrong and insulting to the community who built in the sense in how he closed down the forum without notifying anybody. But he had serious reasons as it seems. And we can move on. No need to play blame games!

On the group on facebook, there are serious discussions taking place to go into the next step.

ويل لأمةٍ تضحي بشبابها من أجل شيبيها

Sadly, this is what's happening.
FPM is obviously no longer a youth movement as it used to be.

FPM was driven by young, enthusiastic and creative people. LFPM/Orange Room, Vcoderz and even Tayyar.org were created and driven by young people who wanted to get their voice through and they did it.

FPM has been transforming into another party based on sectarianism and became part of the game it had always refused.
Self-criticism has been narrowing since years, it was never "the right time" or "this is a critical situation" and I've seen many being accused as traitors simply for pointing out a specific problem inside FPM.

Considering the above, i'm not surprised they made such a move and closed the Orange Room, i am actually surprised why it took them that long to do it.

On the other hand, the Orange Room has an amazing archive, it was so easy to see what FPM was years ago, how decent and amazing the discussions were.
It is also an amazing diary of all those who dedicated their lives for their country through FPM especially during the occupations and the dark days.

Even if the forum was closed, the archive should remain accessible.
And ideally, host the website again as LFPM or just under another name.

Meanwhile, enjoy your stay in Vcoderz, it has always been an independent website and always will be =)
