What Do you think is the right solution to bring back the prisoners from Syria? Should we start a war? kidnap their soldiers? Wait for the International Court Final results to take a side against Syria? Or what?

I dont see the prisoners getting out unless theres a regime change in syria. I mean kidnapping their soldiers wont do any good but aggravate relations. Start a war? as in lebanon against syria??

We were under syrian occupation for 15 years after the civil war and still they didnt release the prisoners. I dont think that improving relations with syria will work, they will always concider us as inferior and lebanon as being a part of them.

There are few ways. One is kidnapping some Syrians which is not the best way ;)

The best way is for our government to go to Syria and try to make some deals regarding the Lebanese prisoners and change some of the Lebanese-Syrian agreements which gives benefit to Syria.
On the table [coz under the table it might be different], USA is pressuring Syria so it's the best thing to do for our government is going to Syria and using the pressure for this issue.

Moreover, every political party must unite with the FPM and organize protests infront of the UN headquarter (or whatever they call it) in Beirut. This might put a little more pressure on Syria.

What country will say that yes i have lebanese prisoners?
If syria once had lebanese hero's, now she doesn't.
Of course Israel has confirmed that she have lebanese prisoners for the only reason and that is because Al-moqawama in lebanon still have israeli's prisoners! (Ex-change prosses).
I am pretty sure that syria has shot or hanged or even thru acide at them to destroy any organic bodies left!

i think the best way is a Government and not a bunch of Thieves called ministers like we have now.
only the Government MUST solve this problem and not personal initiatives, we live in a country in here and not in balad kel min fete7 3a 7ssebo.

Just like the u.s wont be able to stop the iranian nuclear program, i dont thnk that u can retrieve some prisoners unless theirs a regime change in syria.
U cant just change a mentality that has been predominent there for 60 years.

Kidnapping Syrian soldiers won't work, do you seriously believe that the 455#013 in Damascus gives a damn about his people and soldiers?

I think also the best solutin would be forming a real goverment with real men who have the ability to face Syria and other than Syria. This kind of system can't be forced by twisting his arm. These people should have negociators and a certan manner in negociating.

Shouting loud and doing notin' will hurt more and more the situation of our prisoners there. They will to the syrians like " fashet khele2" each time someone here insults Syria but from far!

Bcharré we are refering to those who delivered the lebanese prisoners to 7afez l asad back to the 80s and 90s not those who have only the connection with Syria.

i'm giving a solution,a very acceptable one !! which is letting the lebanese parties that HAD and still having excellent relations with syria to have some wasata or something slaimen franjieh kamen isn't bad!

we need to know at first if the detainees are still alive or "ndafano bl ma2abir l jame3iye" that was done by your master before we begin to search for the solutions ;)

if the LF and the other militias buried those missing people and never arrived to Syria, what negotiations will help ?? if Syria doesent have any Lebanese detainees because all of those missings were killed in Lebanon by militias like LF-PSP-AMAL-SSNP ... betkhalleflkon Syria yehon ??

the Lebanese Militias know very well the destiny of those missings, and i doubt that they are in Syria, anyway an investigation should be held, and everyone including Syria must bear their responsabilities and help in that.

well i think that Joe's point of view is right , Ha and berri have very good relation with Syria that they can use to free lebanese prisoners from Syria.

plus i remember Nassralla always claiming that he will always fight Israel to get back all the LEBANESE prisoners from israel to LEBANON, because HA is a lebanese Resistance that will fight any1 to get back Lebanon's right and its civilians' right? so why dont he "yhema chway" with the Syrians and try to get back all the prisoners from there. after all They are LEBANESE the prisoners in Israel or Syria ? right ;) ?

This is not acceptable at all, the responsible of this mess should be punished big time!!
That syrian regime won't leave our detainees the easy way THEY DO HAVE DETAINEES and the big fat moalem said it indirectly today "who waited 30 years can wait few weeks more".
True, not all of them are in syrian because they were killed on many militias check points,kidnapped...
But such thing should not be seen slightly, there are people who suffered for many decades in the syrian jails and should be freed and honored.
Hizbullah got an answer that there are no longer Lebanese in syrian jails. But personally i'd rather believe those mothers who saw their children in the syrian jails on believing what assad's regime says.

The "sister" has Lebanese Detainees :| and I was told for years by its slaves that it is our best ally :( What a disappointment :(.....

You can't kidnap Syrian hostages because if you do that they will close the border. That means help will have to come from Western countries. The Shiite Right will be in a dilemma between refusing aid from western countries and watching people starving. Besides I can't see anyone both capable and willing to do it.

The only way it should be done is by forming a committee that communicates with the Syrians and negotiates a deal to return the bodies ( I doubt any prisoner is still alive....Syrian prison food doesn't suit lebanese stomachs). The committee should be formed of ministers from HA and others from the former loyalist block....It is vital to keep traditions that gurantee a soveriegn image that the negotiations should not take place on Syrian Lands...
