Hello there,
i heard talking about unlimited DSL offered by sodetel.
i got few questions to the ones who have DSL, is it stable? do you have real IPs?

well, first check sodetel.net.lb
the price of the unlimited DSL is higher than the regular plan, and u can see that little * which means that the fair usage policy applies :W in other terms, if you use too much bandwidth at peak time, your speed will be reduced:W and later they may disable your account.
also, the only speeds available without limitations are 128 and 256k and i don't know if this is what you are looking for.
so far, i heard from DSL users that Ogero service is very good, but i think that its only problem is the limited offered bandwidth compared to other ISPs.

about IPs, a friend who has a rapidshare account, got his account disabled because it seemed for rapidshare that he is using more than 5 IPs to connect to the internet. ( OGERO )

i'm not using DSL because the service did not reach my territory yet, but i hope that i helped you. :)

I have ogero, only 128kbps, the speed is stable. dunno about ip.
anyways I heard terra net had a good DSL offer, cheaper than ogero and the speed doubles at night and you get free downlod from 10 pm onwards. anyone knows more about that?

yeah I know I read that, but I want to know from someone that is actualy using it if it is good or not. because I use to use modem from terra and I learned anno ma fi achtar minnoun bil 7aké

dude 2.5gbps does not exist, it is the maximum speed, but surely not the net speed.
there is no ISP offering it in USA, for example QWEST is offering 20mb/s for 100$, (160mbps) which way less than 2.5 gbps. also similar offer can be got from AT&T and Verizon.
if i were you, i would RIGHT NOW get a 1gbps (50$) network card, and the fastest HD i can find.
a movie in two minutes... daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn:P

Actually I'm connected to the RENATER Network. Main lines are Optical Lines of which the speed is 2.5 Gbps. That network extends across France and connects more than "800 sites involved in research, technology and education".

The 100 mbps cables connect us students from the dorms of the campus to the network. So I can't do nothing about that. But hey 2 mins for a movie is fine by me ;) Enough time to prepare the arguileh so as to enjoy my movie :yupi: :lawl:

Besides, we're not allowed to download anything not related to "work" :patrioticmcjay: Hence I can't download torrents. But who needs torrents when there's RapidShare... :paddle: :wel3et:

NB: In france, 20 mbps is worth less than 20$/month. And indeed. 2.5 Gbps is not on the market in France either. However, they do have fiber optics lines for customers, but you won't get 2.5 Gbps.

i dont know how ..but my upload speed has been a 1mbps over the last 3 days... uploading at 110 kb/s almost... lol download speed is still 256kbps

Download speed 40-50 kb/s

UPLOAD speed: 200-250 kb/s

i'm using a 256kbps connection :o

i found this the best offer on the market, specialy the 512kbps it's limited to 8GB but at night it's unlimited trafic ur connection will double u'll get 1Mbps and only for 40$ a month

Maybe your main provider is fastnet or someone using the same strategy they have. the upload speed is not limited it's shared between all users but the download speed is limited, that's why you get this fast. i used to reach 400kb/s+ upload speed.
