I think that using a UPS could be a great idea next time. it will protect your laptop.

A UPS To The Laptop? ): That Sounds Illogical.

Now Maybe That Protects The Laptop's Power Supply Or The Battery, But What If It Happened In A Public Place? lool
Last Summer I Was At b2b, And The Same Thing Happened To Me lool, The Only Difference Is That The Laptop Wouldn't Want To Turn On Again ): Not Even For A Second Lol.

Anyways, Good Luck ):

No I Didn't :D Actually, I Used To Have An Old Motherboard For The Laptop :p I Swaped Them, Cause I Gave It To More Than Someone To Fix It, And They All Told Me That The Problem Was From The Power Supply Or Something Related To That ):

So I Replaced The New Motherboard With The Old One lool {The Got The New One Because One Of The RAM Slots 7tara2it :ang:}
But Another Problem Appeared In The Old Motherboard, The Windows Can't Seem To Detect The Battery lool So Bas Troo7 El Kahraba Byotfeh El Laptop lool, This Is Where John A's Idea Works lool {The UPS Idea}

So Eventually I Got Me A New Laptop :p

Re: Laptop tragedy

if this is only a matter of battery, you will need much less 500$ to fix it.
i think for 150$ you get a 6 cells standard battery just like the one you have. if you want to have a 9 or 12 cells battery you will eventually pay more.

There is an internal power supply on the board inside the laptop it may be your problem, don't let anyone mess with it, take it to the company even it is more expensive

The zap is from the HDD cuz it had a sudden power cut,it makes this sound

And as tawa said the UPS doesn't help at this case cuz the battery of the laptop has the same functionality, lets say it is an electricity issue the power adaptor or the battery should be broken, in this case what helps is the use of "Regulateur" it is a bit expensive but help stabilising the current so no overflows and high tension.

2day i called the reseller he told me that he have sent the laptop to HP lebanon, and they will change the motherboard for 190$..... so is it a good price?
