Barrack Obama is just a polished version of the typical U.S president the whole world is used to. Don't expect any new, it is not him that takes the major decisions anyway. At best, his role is to choose between some pre-set choices, all of which won't serve the arabic or the Palestinian cause..

Anyway, I guess it is foolish to be waiting for anything good from the United States when even the Major Arabic States of the region have given up and submitted to the American Hegemony.

We are being like a person with a sword on his neck and who is begging for whoever is trying to kill him not to do so. Don't be optimistic about any new role for the United States in the region.

As for whoever said that the religion of the staff doesn't matter, I want to just tell you that the Jews in the U.S are less than 3% with some estimates saying they are 1%. At a certain point, they formed 19% of the congress (House and Senate). Now you can see their percentage in Obama's administration (if the above news is reliable), I doubt all that is innocent. As I said before, jews who are not zionists are very very few and can be considered negligible.

Does the American people even know where Lebanon is located on the map ??

Obama, Bush, Clinton,, ballout w battikh all of them are the same, they won't look to our country's interests, even if one of them was so good and did it, 9 years later another president may come and launch a war against us !!

Why always betting on a certain change in some foreign policies ??
Why not fixing our damn country and building clear relationships for the interests of Lebanon with our friends and cutting relations with our enemies and their friends !!???

Can't we put Lebanon aside of the worlwide conflicts and having our own decisions and Independence ?? i dream about it.. and i think i will keep on dreaming as long as the majority of the Lebanese people mentality is a sick one !! they are used of being puppets and relating their fate to a certain policy or president in a certain country !!

im not with the american/ksa policy , but that doesnt mean i with the other part, things should be solved in a diplomatic way , not with rockets and erasing the other from the map, one rocket could put lebanon under a war which will be more than a Kerse than the palestinian case , if some1 wants a 2006 scenario again , well i dont .

7obb there is more than 500 000 Palestinian in Lebanon, does it rings a bell ?? in some years the number will double, where do you want them to live ??

^^^ let me put it this way we are david they are goliath , except that we wont kill him, face it my friend a small country like lebanon cant take it to confront israel , planes are over my head cuz theres a militia in the south of that country , and no secure borders. and what about the rockets to north israel isnt that a khare2 of 646346346

many countries kicked out refugees , why dont we ? CAnada australia have vast land and need labors and im sure it is way better than lebanon , even i will go and live there.

i know , we know it palestinians arent coming back , so better solving it peacefully maybe for 100 years , then have a war every year .

israel doesn't care if there's HA or anyone is the south! ....israel 3anda masali7 in here....and those can affect badly the situation in here.....so you have 2 choices: u fight and u don't accept those masali7 ....or u accept them ....

- Israel won't accept their come back.
- Palestinians won't agree on a plan kicking them out of Lebanon and giving them Canadian passports because it ends their cause and means l khoudou3 lal amer l wake3.
- Lebanon cannot bear this whole problem alone.
- Lebanon is at war with Israel !!! and cannot make negotiations with Israel about anything as long as there is a war between the two countries.
- Palestinians have the right of coming back to their homeland !!! we mustn't forget that too, if the whole world is participating in this crime against the Palestinian people by kicking them out of their land, we as Lebanese and as Humans must not do the same. kicking someone out of his land is a crime and called occupation !!
and occupation should be resisted... that's my opinion.

who allowed them to get armed ??

being in a war with them in the past doesn't mean that they don't have anymore the right of coming back to their homeland !!

Different Lebanese parties fought each others during the civil war, and look at them now.

Diplomacy has NEVER worked with Israel...it either gets its own way with HUMILIATING terms for the other side, or if the other side is its "ally" it will allow that side to get some "perks" every now and then:D
