A National unity government after the elections ?
As we know Elections are going to take place on the 7 of June 2009.
Some leaders in the opposition have been talking in the few previous weeks that if the Opposition wins, they will invite the current loyalists to participate with them in a national unity government. Do you support such a thing ? Are we ready to see those militiamen and traitors again in any future government ?? If yes why the hell are we going to elect if we will not be able to change the fact of having thugs in the government ?? |
no, i'm against it....totally against it...lezim yetteb3o l nesbye ....as much as u represent in the parliamant u get seats in the government....and if they're really saying this than they're not expecting to win by much enno ye3ne eza ento rbe7to kamen bta3touna ma2e3id since if we win we'll give u.....and really if the oppostion wins and 3atyo the other parties ma2e3id aktar mn ma byestehlo tfh 3a hek balad ....

The sectarian consensual democracy in Lebanon is the main problem. As long as a certain party representing the majority of a certain sect should be represented in the Government even if they don't have the majority, we won't have a clear political system. The parliamentary majority should have the right of forming the government, and the opposition opposes in the parliament not in the government. I am certainly against it, and in my opinion the whole political system should be changed.. secularism all the way :D |
No.
Because They Didn't Want To Give Us A National Unity Government When We Asked For One. In Addition, If We Won The Elections, We Will Show The People How True Governors Work And How We Can Build A Better Lebanon For All The Lebanese People. I Hope Boutros Harb Wont Change His Mind If They Lost The Elections. |
I prefer to handle the government to technocrats. That's their job.
Ino sorry bas Bahia el hariri wazirit tarbiye and helping jund el sham w generations bado yetla3 :D |

No i'm against it, the majority bte7kom wel 2a2aleye bet3ared.
Although i'm not so optimistic about the elections results. |
As GMA Said Yesterday,
I am With a Government that reflects the Parliament, no matter who wins, ya3ne if the opposition take more than 2/3 than it should form the government , if not it should take in consideration the percentage represented by Bristol forces. |

Following this logic will lead us to give the right for every 43 deputies in asking for their 1/3 seats in the Government !! The right thing to do is: whoever wins, name a Prime Minister, and this PM form the Government without any conditions, that's it. But hei betssir in Lebanon ba3d shi 99999 seneh since we are living in a company where every one has a share, not in a respectful country... 3a awlet Ziad Rahbani: oum fout nam w sir 7lam enno baladna yssir balad... |

We should Follow this logic ): , this logic is the most likely to succeed, la zalem wala mazloum, pure math ;) :p ba3dena if someone got more than 1/3 of the parliament he have the right to represent more than 1/3, isn't this what was the opposition asking about ?! |
The government is the executive power and we all know that one minister's authority is even higher than the president of the republic's one.
Change can only happen through the government. if we have the chance to become a crucial part of the decision making then it's now or never. That's why we want competent and skilled ministers in the next government, the opposition should know better, this is not the right time to feel sympathy and empathy with the 'losers' especially if they were thieves and traitors, mish ne23ud na3melon jaweyiz tardiye. All I care about is to see the right people in the right place. |

The opposition was asking for a unity government because the country was suffering from dangerous problems, don't forget the treason in July war, the disabling of the constitutional council, all the explosions and the bad security situation while the ministers were sticking to their chairs, when the opposition demanded a unity government it was because of the exceptional situation in the country. But now everything has changed, we have a good electoral law which guarantee somehow the right representation in the parliament. we should not make a rule out of an exception. I am against the idea of having the same representation of the parliament in the government, the parliament is supposed to judge the work of the government, how this gonna happen if the government was a reflection of the parliament ? |

IMO the opposition should ask them in the beginning if they want 7oukoumet we7deh watanyeh if they say no (which is their answer now) lakan no may the best team win :D |

But if they're refusing, to hell with it, the opposition should focus on what's more important and benefit from this opportunity to rule and begin with the change process through the executive power and away from those fools. |
i wonder how you people believe in Change, Reform and accountability and seeking it by working hard to win this elections and in the same time you want to involve the thieves and the criminals in your government. w essla7 w teghyir w mou7essabeh ra7 yotla3 :D

the opposition including Amal, Franjiyeh, Ersslan agreed on such a step and were ready to bear all the circumstances and the results if they were guilty, but guess who opposed it !! Anyway i know very well that this political system is a rotten one, and as long as we are living in a sectarian system no real change and reform will take place. |
i am with the complete divorce between corruption and reform.
we can't return to the past agreement: we will resist, and you handle the economic situation. HA and FPM with some other parties have the potential to govern, resist, and progress in reform. |
No.
