Create Your Own Facebook Direct Profile URL
The Profile Web Address application (it’s actual application name is unnecessarily long) lets you create a direct link to your profile, with any name you choose. This application comes from the same people that created the “Surveys, Petitions, Votes, Polls & Quizes” Facebook app.
Just like with MySpace, you can now pick a URL suffix to create a somewhat shortened, easy-to-remember web address that can be sent out to friends or placed on websites, taking them directly to your Facebook profile. The URL you’ll be able to use will look like any of these three options: http://profile.to/AnyNameYouChoose/ www.profile.to/AnyNameYouChoose http://apps.facebook.com/profiles/AnyNameYouChoose/ Of course, the regular privacy settings apply. You don't have to use any of the methods above starting from this saturday.
Facebook says: "Soon you will be able to have a username Starting on Saturday, June 13th, at 7:01am, you'll be able to choose a username for your Facebook account to easily direct friends, family, and coworkers to your profile. Check out the Facebook Blog for more information or send yourself an email with the details". So it will look like this : www.facebook.com/your_username I suggest you book ur name fast cuz people with similar name might take your url :p |

@neoxter, if u look at the picture, he does work for facebook:P
and btw, there used to be fan pages with the same url format, for example, check www.facebook.com/tiesto which was created a long time before, and it is official, i guess they allowed first the official stuff to be published. |

Juts to let u know that as I read on the facebook that u can edit ur iusername after u have done one and this is an exmaple

I was checking the fb settings, and i found that fb allows you to change your username for only one time, so for those of you who want to change their username can do it now.
