in europe and the US a 30 $ DSL gives you 2mb/s speed, and in other countries, they are not familiar with the term "monthly traffic limits"
what the hell? we get 2 and 3 GB quota each month?if you want to browse facebook everyday this limit won't get you to the end of the month. does it really cost the company more money if you use your internet more than that? they actualy set special packages for no trafic limits where 256 kbps costs around 40$ w they still reserve the right to take action if you strain their server too much
given the following, is it worth upgrading your internet speed in lebanon? you can go buy a 512 internet connection but according to the quota, you can use it at its maximum speed for 3 days

DSL upload is 1/4 of the download speed, it took me 4 hours to upload a 100 MB file, I messaged support and asked them 25 MB per hour is normal, and they said yes it is very good. I have a 3 GB upload limit, bas 3am yed7ako 3layyé by saying that, there is no way I can use that, even if I spend all my time uploading

and don't get me started about the ping, between 500 and 1000 ms? are they transporting the information on mules?

so why why is it like this? fhemna enno it can't be faster because the wires are old and messed up, but why the quotas? why is an additionnal 1 GB sold for 10$ ?

because they can rob more money from electricity and cellphone companies than they can do from internet facilities.

if a boat passes and cut the cable we will live without internet hehehe

on the internet topic, now I always need to use a proxy to enter websites, the connection got really retarted

Well for me, My download speed is very good, It starts around 200kb/s and remains cte for around 30-40 sec then it drops to 30 kb/s stable.But the thing that sucks is the latency.The whole day I get a ping of >1300 ms,At peak hours it reaches 4000ms !! and after 2 am till 11 am in the morning it's around 400 ms.

I called my provider and asked him if I'm a visp user he told no I'm a global proof user and then I asked why the hell I have a VISP account 2em da3 w 2alle ma hinne ekhdin min ba3ed sar yo2rot 7ake:D,and he told me that after what Jebran besil did the VISP the latency will keep on sucking until visp find an alternative solution...

I pay 45 $ for an unlimited 256 kbs with an unlimited quota ...

is that visp ? how much do u pay ?
