Hey guys im new to vcoderz forums and new to ps3 too. So let's gather lebanese on ps3 and have some fun..my psn is XxiTz_AJzXx add me...i'm playing Uncharted 2 beta..nfs shift and killzone 2...these three games are lag free because they use dedicated servers not Peer to peer like X360...im loving my ps3 and my xbox 360 is put away in the basement :P

mmm it depends on traffic times..i usually get between 400-800 its not that good but i dont know why online on psn is lag free on me but on my xbox 360 some games lag as hell...do u play online ?

nope because of the lag, i have a 450ms ping - 512k dsl . i was thinking of playing CoD4 online (private server) to try it.

I dont know... u shouldn't be lagging on Psn...at least on Resistance 2 - Killzone 2 and Uncharted 2 u should be fine...try this list of games to see which are lag free on me.

Legend killer I know whats ur problem. Ur ps3 is the 20 gig hardrive which doesn't include a Wireless receiver...u have to connect a ethernet cable to ur ps3 and ur done.I hope this is ur problem...yalla khalsounaa we need to prepare ourself for the next few amazing games ta nel3abon sawa :D

Mmmm i was reading some old threads and i saw that ur fine browsing internet over the ps3 but the problem is connecting it to the psn..so i think the ehternet cable will have to take u to the same problem..anw kenet 3am ba3mol chwayet researsh and i've found this try it too :

1. From your PS3's XMB, navigate to Settings > Network Settings > Internet Connection Settings
2. Choose "Custom"
3. Then choose your connection type (wired or wireless). Continue through the setup (usually just selecting the default settings) until you get to "DNS Setting".
4. At "DNS Setting", choose "Manual". Here, you will enter the OpenDNS server addresses.
5. In "Primary DNS", enter 208.67.222.222
6. In "Secondary DNS", enter 208.67.220.220
7. Continue to the end of the setup (again, likely using the default, already selected values).
8. Test the connection when you get to the end, and pray for the best!

One last question ( I am trying it now) from where do I get the Default Router Code?

It's the IP-address to your router.
On your PC, go to Network and Sharing Center---View status---Details and look for the IPv4 Default Gateway. Enter that in your PS3 where it says default router.

ahhh ! I'll keep on bombarding some probable solutions try them all :
-Go to your network settings in your PS3 and disable your Media Server Connection. It seems to have a conflict with many Netgear and Linksys routers when connected wirelessly.

There's this too :
Turning off the router/modem etc does not flush all the old settings out so the router just reverts back to what it was doing. I had to perform a hard reset and, depending on your router, the way to do it is to find the reset button (mine was recessed and I had to use a pen or paperclip) and hold it in for more than a minute. Just to be sure I held it in for a minute with the power on, then turned the power off (still holding it in) and turned the power back on and then released the button. My network then found the router as if it was a totally new part of the network and I could get my PS3 to automatically find it and use auto settings.
It worked for me, now I have my PS3, PSP, laptop and everything running smooth...

Just finished Uncharted 2, it's incredible.
If you liked the first one you're not going to be disappointed.

im playin Uncharted 2 also, got to chapter 6 now, the game is just Great, best game i have played so far, feels like ur in a movie, and the Graphics are near CG specially in cut-scenes

enno yeah but it's useless i think ): u can do that with money :p
but wtf 3 monitors 30" and 26" u need to turn ur head like 180 degrees :P

Yeah I'm lovin it too..btw how many chapters are there in the game..i've reached chapter 20 today and I wonder how many hours i'll still waste on this game :P

I got the platinum trophy for UC2, the crushing difficulty is so much fun :D
