Either buy a Genuine copy and do it yourself, very easy.
Or get a cracked version, and also do it yourself :p. // It's the same.

Most of windows7's drivers are the same as vista's, you shouldn't be worrying about this, anyways, if a driver is not released yet, I think it'll be soon, cause Windows 7 is invading all Vista PCs.

True, but you do loose some drivers, like the VGA's

You don't ask for a non genuine copy of a Microsoft Operating System in public :p

Anyways, it's everywhere :D

Not all of them, mostly, old hardware don't have drivers to Windows7, but you can always search in Nvidia's web.

It is just like any other operating system installation, you can formatInstall, or upgradeInstall.

There is no difference between installing a Genuine copy or a None Genuine one, the installation is literally the same, because an operating system is considered None Genuine until you activate it after the installation is over.

yea but u cant update it , for example when i had Windows XP i couldnt install updates for it, because it was not genuine. thats what i meant.

SysTaMatIcS 12-01-2009 07:50 PM

No, you don't loose the recovery, because it's a whole partition dedicated to it on the hard disk, as long as you don't format or delete partitions, it'll be there.

Dude, those people who are selling it for 30$ got the cracked version, basically, they got it from "anywhere", because it's "everywhere" :p and they're selling it.

when u install win7 u choose the partition in which it will be installed on, simply choose the partition of (previously) vista, leaving the recovery partition alone.
i installed win 7 on TLK aka WTF lool laptop ask him if the recovery partition is still ok.

the word "cracked" and "$" cannot be in one sentence :p
so i think its the original
click me

This upgrade option is offered by HP, and whenever you buy this upgrade the recovery will be upgraded automatically with all the drivers and the operating system.

I will apply for this upgrade, ill pay 30$ since it is a small amount and i will get all the drivers already included i will have no compatibility issues

That's something different,

When you install Windows 7, you get 30 days trial before activation, after that, I think you won't be able to update or install some stuff.

Anyways, you can do anything with the activated version :D

You can find Windows 7 everywhere, even in places other than all shops, aka "l soo2".

For example, many vcoderz members have it. And, they didn't get it from "l soo2".

You really didn't get it the first time, did you?

For me, I'll never upgrade to W7 (if they will not make me to do so) and i don't suggest you to upgrade. But it's an individual choice.

Sorry, but i don't think so. For me, XP is now the system that I'm using for 5 years and now I don't need smth other. But in future, yes, it will be needed to change XP to 7 or to another system like i've changed from W98 to XP in the past.

When You get a laptop where windows vista is factory installed and no drivers for XP i think upgrading to Windows 7 is necessity.

Yes, I agree with you. But for now, I haven't plans to change my laptop in 3-5 years.

RUSSIAN 04-08-2010 03:49 PM

I had to have some experience with this W7 and now I can say I don't like it at all! I used it only for some tasks, then I saw that it is not for me and downloaded windows XP and MS Office 2k3 (it wasn't so easy with their IE 8) and device drivers (yes it was hard to find drivers for new PC, but I solved this problem which is a good luck I think).

mr_j 04-08-2010 08:50 PM

I did not try windows 7, but I read about it on wikipedia(if that counts as anything) I did not like the description, I am sticking with windows xp as far as possible(the new direct x may no longer be compatible with vista though :( )

anyway from what I rad, it still needs quite alot of ram compared to xp and system resources...lachou

now from vista to windows 7, I would recommend that, because I heard it uses less system resources.

Yes surely, Vista is a fail at all.

P337 04-08-2010 10:22 PM

I didn't check on the whole thread, but anyway, specify. Additionally, Windows 7 runs fairly good on 512 MB RAM. It's related with the ways of use.

If possible, I'd recommend the upgrade. After all, those are Microsoft products initially meant for easy use.

Furthermore, vista, failure? Define failure. Windows Vista was at that time, a systematical change, which, in fact, I consider it stronger than the 98-XP jump. But, even with made-easy products, people fail to know how to use it - the moment when flaming begins. Vista lacks so much, yes, but didn't fail.

jak 04-09-2010 12:27 AM

if u can stick to windows XP then do it coz neither Vista nor win7 are better :)
thats from my point of view. win7 32bit lacks a lot of compatibility with a lot of applications (at least that's what im experiencing and u have to spend a lot of time just downloadin stuff to make ur application or program run normally and thats the case if u find what ur lookin for! e.g: i need to install sql server 2008, which works perfectly on XP, to my win7 i had to look for a frameworks with a SP, i found it but it wont install on win7 :) many ppl are facing the same problem as i am)
so u decide :)

huh ? I have sql server 2008 installed and everything is working fine. Service Packs bring upgrades, enhancements and security fixes. I can't believe you don't want to install it because you have to get an SP.

Win7 brings lots of features, security and enhancements. If you want to stay with an O/S that is over 10 years then all the best to you guys. But sooner or later software will no longer run on XP and you will have to upgrade. Yes win7 requires better hardware, and for some it might be expensive but its 2010 and technology is moving ahead. Soon you will find it hard to find 32bit operating systems, or software.

Sheriff Ice 04-09-2010 09:46 AM

I think i discovered a Bug in Windows 7 and it is kinda of pain in the a$$

Tinman im trying to install SQL 2008 on my win7... it stops as soon as i start the process by telling me that .net framework 3.5 is not installed on my pc! u can check the programs list on my and find that 3.5 is already installed since im using VB 2008 and i also ran a verification program that shows that 3.5.1 is installed.... what do u think of that??
