Smart one really, eno for sure ya systa if you go by taxi everyday 3l uni you wont be taking those ones but the tourists will try them & will surely love them since they are used in their own countries 3a hek shi!

These will be great when I visit Lebanon, I hate having to ask relatives to drive me places.
When I was there last time all I could call where taxis that only drove in Beirut.

Man Taxi companies are available now across Lebanon they drive wherever you want. from "na2oura" to the "Bered" including Bekaa and Hermel

vehicles with diesel engines are banned in Lebanon, and what i know is that these are diesel taxis.. so ra7 ykouno 3al benzin be lebnen?? or like other counties?

They are not imitating London, it's the same company opening a branch in Lebanon, same as they did in many arab countries.

What kind of country is this, Shu ma fe ger l tourists?! lower the fuel prices for us :/

I don't feel comfortable getting into this London taxi in Lebanon. It's ugly and people will start staring at it.

Secondly, it's expensive.

Thirdly, most taxi drivers in Lebanon (if not all) are poor and are driving the whole day to earn some money to support their families/kids. People behind London Taxi in Lebanon look rather rich, just look at the way that guy talks.

Support Lebanon... support Lebanese taxi drivers.

I was just about to complain about this when I saw your post.
Something that really drives me nuts is when someone doesn't act professionally while doing their job. Taxi drivers are the worst ones because you will usually be stuck with them for a long time.
I'm paying you to just drive me somewhere, what makes you think I care about your problems, ideology or philosophy?

BTW, what are the prices?

Nice post. It's necessary to be unique in our world and not to copy others, especially when it's about tourism. UK isn't copying Lebanon in anything, then why you should copy smth from them?

We are not imitating anyone, London Taxi is a British Company who decided to start London Taxi business in Lebanon, just like it did in several Arab countries.

Ugly? who cares? it's a taxi cab for Christ sake. Taxi cabs should have unique models. And London Taxi is a great successful example.

I wonder why a big company like London Taxi opens a branch in Lebanese where many people like systa don't even read, and if they once read, they read wrong or they don't understand.

Ya systa fhama ba2a, THEY ARE NOT IMITATING anything, it's the same company that has branches in all over the world. Have you ever heard about Mercedes, BMW, United Colors of benetton...? They are all international companies that open branches in many countries of the world.

Then it's even worse. This company will get money from tourists of Lebanon who were attracted by Lebanon, not their London..

Once again we are investing in this project and bringing something different,safe,comfortable that will take the image of lebanon and the transporation sytem and the tourism to another Level, the european,americans,arab they know very well the car, they trust this company since 1920 they use it and they know about. When you bring to Lebanon you will add a big value to the contry itself, to have such a 5 stars transportation in a country that has a unique land and quality of serivices in the tourism sector, so why not having the London Taxi in Lebanon and give Lebanon an additional point to add it to his portfolio....

I dont Understand Why Some ppl insist on bashing multinational successful companies from investing in our country.

Dear members, this is a very good sign that our economy is going into the right place.

When Multinational companies like Londontaxi / Google / ...etc start opening their business in our country cheer-up.

Whether you like globalism capitalism or not, it is fact, that to be good in business you should follow this model of capitalism and privatization, i used to think that this is very bad for the people, now after starting my MBA i started to understand the benefits of capitalism maybe it is rough on the people but capitalism is a great motivator for progress and a stimulus for Human to change for the better.

If Lebanese people is not willing to start thinking like the west(economically speaking) eh 60 sene w 70 yom 3a hel cha3eb.

Our economy still living in the Ottoman Age, due to this Honor Sh!t and family businesses.
