It Would Be Hard To Resist Manchester United - Valencia Star David Silva

The Spanish international has admitted that he'd be interested in a move to Manchester...

By Stefan Coerts
May 5, 2010 10:02:00 AM

Valencia star David Silva is continually being linked with a move away from Los Che and the Spanish international has reportedly attracted the interest of several Premier League giants.

The tricky midfielder has now made it clear that he's happy at Valencia, but that it would be very hard for him to turn down an offer from Manchester United if the Red Devils decided to make a move for him.

"When you hear a club like Manchester United is interested in you it is an honour. I am very aware of the Premier League, and in recent years it has been the stand-out league in the world," said Silva to the Daily Express.

"If it came calling, especially if it was a club like Manchester United, it would be very hard to resist. I am happy at Valencia, but every player has his price and if they get an offer they think is good business anything is possible."

Juventus Goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon On Manchester United & Chelsea Radars - Report

Reports claim Buffon is heading for the Premier League after hinting his Juventus future is far from certain...

By Salvatore Landolina
May 5, 2010 10:13:00 AM

Juventus goalkeeper Gianlugi Buffon is Premier League-bound with Manchester United and Chelsea ready to land him, according to Italian newspaper reports.

Tuttosport and La Gazzetta dello Sport are claiming €25 million-rated Buffon is heading for the Premier League and he has asked directors to resolve his future before the World Cup in June.

The 32-year-old Italian international said his intention is to remain at the club, but should he be sold his first choice destination would be England.

"My will to leave is the same as Juventus', and if I do then I would like to move to England," he told Sky Sport 24 on Sunday.

That seemed to open the door to his Turin exit, and both Chelsea and United are on stand-by. Carlo Ancelotti is a keen admirer of him having worked with the keeper at both Parma and Juventus, while the Red Devils are looking for an alternative to Edwin van der Sar.

Buffon's future could be linked to the decision over a new coach at Juventus, with Rafael Benitez, Cesare Prandelli and Luciano Spalletti all linked with taking over the hot seat.

Should the goalkeeper part company with the Bianconeri, the club are looking at Cagliari shot-stopper Federico Marchetti as a first choice replacement. Palermo's Salvatore Sirigu and Udinese custodian Samir Handanovic are also on the list of choices.

Juventus want to swap Gianluigi Buffon for Arsenal's Cesc Fabregas, Robin van Persie or Bacary Sagna - report

6 May 2010 11:59:00

Juventus are looking to use goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon as part of swap deal to bring in reinforcements from Arsenal, according to a report from Tuttosport.

Buffon has acknowledged that it is likely he will leave Juve in the summer, with a move to England a strong possibility.

Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea have also been linked with the veteran in recent weeks.

However, Juve's own desire to sign some of the Gunners' quality outfield players means that the Serie A giants are open to the possibility of a swap deal involving Buffon.

Cesc Fabgregas remains a target for the Old Lady, as do Robin van Persie and Bacary Sagna, and those players are reportedly the ones likely to be suggested as possible exchanges.

However, Juve would also apparently consider a swap deal involving Manchester United's Nemanja Vidic or Chelsea's Branislav Ivanovic, should any deal with Arsenal not materialise.

Some rumors out there are saying that Ronaldo wants him by his side on the offensive end, that he has suggested getting Rooney saying he's the best "FOR HIM" out there and that Real has long considered this decision b4 coming out with it, at first Real wanted to buy him with money, Sir Alex had a press conference saying we wont sell him, then they did what in my opinion is the smartest thing to do dealing with a man like Sir Alex, offering talent instead of cash, he has long wanted Benzema and Diarra would be a good mixture, but i don't think he'll go for it, he wanted Benzema only cz he's small and talented, to play ALONGSIDE Rooney mech yejeh w yekhod his place, specially after this season in Real where he showed no talent and no skills at all, so the dude is doubtful now, ma ra7 ykhater bel Golden Boy el Sir..on top of that, i doubt Rooney will ever play for another club other than United, the guy's in love with that club that he has ever wished to play for ever since his early days as a player at Everton, so i find it very hard to believe that this deal will ever be done, i DO however think that Real can do it eza Sir Alex mech ekheda personal w khalas mtan7ar baddo Rooney bi fari2o, they will just offer more and more money and players, w eza Sir Alex manno m3annad 3a Rooney i think at a point of time will accept their offer eza it's TOO good..): bas Rooney :inlove: :(

Papers: Wayne must wait

Rooney talks on hold
Manchester United will not open contract talks with player-of-the-season Wayne Rooney until after the World Cup. Rooney has two years left on his Old Trafford deal but is keen to discuss a £120,000-a-week extension. However, United chief executive David Gill has indicated privately the 24-year-old will have to wait until he returns from South Africa with England. Even though Real Madrid have already declared a firm interest in Rooney, United are so sure he will not have his head turned that they have told his representatives to wait until late July for talks. Rooney has scored 43 goals for club and country this season and picked up United's player-of-the-year award on Tuesday night.
Ian Ladyman, Daily Mail

Meanwhile, the Mail claims Bayern Munich are ready to bid £7million for Ji-sung Park. He is contracted until 2012 and only this week said he wanted to stay at Old Trafford for the rest of his career. However, Bayern want to offer United a 90 per cent profit on the £4m they paid PSV Eindhoven for him in 2005 and that could trigger his departure.

Manchester United Ready to Offer Player Swap to Seal £14m Keeper Deal

http://i43.tinypic.com/4hqfqu.jpg

Manchester United are reportedly considering a move for veteran Italian international Gianluigi Buffon this summer as Sir Alex Ferguson looks to bring in a long term replacement for Old Trafford keeper Edwin Van der Sar.

The giant Dutch international is clearly nearing the end of his lengthy career and with Thomas Kuszczak and Ben Foster unable to ably stake their case as the new Manchester United number one which has left Ferguson with no choice other than to bring in a new custodian.

At 32 Buffon is still by no means ‘old’ for a keeper and the former Parma man has been at the top of his game for the best part of a decade and is clearly more than able to make the move from Juventus to Manchester United. The Italian has made noises about wanting to leave the Turin club and would surely jump at the chance of a new challenge in the Premier League.

Sir Alex is apparently ready to offer cash and players if needed in order to lure the man with 100 Italian international caps. The likes of Federico Macheda, Anderson and the club’s spare keepers may be offered in an attempt to snap up the legendary goalie who is valued at around £14m

Juventus Linked With Bayern Munich Ace Arjen Robben - Report

Italian reports claim Juve are interested in Robben...

http://i44.tinypic.com/jt9dg9.png

By Salvatore Landolina
May 7, 2010 3:02:00 PM

Juventus president Andrea Agnelli is banging on the drum marked 'reform' and is ready to move to a fast transfer market beat by landing Arjen Robben, according to Tuttosport.

The Turin-based newspaper has listed a number of moves Juventus will make after being granted an €80 million transfer allowance that could be increased by the sale of players.

First on the list is Bayern Munich's Arjen Robben, a pivotal player in the German team's Champions League progress. Agnelli is keen to kick off his presidency with a bang and he is set for a resonant transfer campaign, following in the footsteps of his later father Umberto, who signed Zinedine Zidane from Bordeaux in 1996.

Bayern signed Robben from Real Madrid last season, and he has helped them clinch a Champions League final spot later in the month. He reminds Agnelli of Zidane for the quality he posseses, but signing him is less than easy.

The Bundesliga club will not allow him to leave on the cheap. Furthermore, Juve's failure to qualify for the Champions League could be a dampener on any potential negotiation.

They're called RUMORS for a reason, Goal.com isn't "crap" on the contrary i like it very much, all it does is get news and rumors from Newspapers and other leaks. Sure, rumors aren't always correct, but they're "NEWS" most of the times these rumors are true, i mean u never know what happens men ta7et la ta7et bein el clubs from negotiations and offers and such, so maybe yeah Juve wants him but not necessarily Bayern even wanted to open a window for them to buy him, so i disagree with u that Goal.com is crap ):

KeXasthur 05-08-2010 07:24 PM

dude, goal.com just posts so much stuff and gets like 1% of them right. Last year they said Milan will get dozen of new players for sure, and everything was set and all, and Milan ended up buying no one. Really even in this transfer window in winter, they said Milan will get some players for sure, even though the general manager himself said they won't., and in they end they didn't ofcourse and yet they keep saying things.
They only do speculations: for example Dzeko said he would like to come to Milan, some Milan fans like that so goal.com do some linking and say Milan are ready to splash 40 million on Dzeko just because they said that.

If I open my own soccer news website I can at least get 10% of the transfers rumored right.

It's not that other news websites are all perfect, but they are more conservative and actually post updates and not just make their own transfers.

Although I understand why you might like goal.com, because sometimes I do too :p, since I like seeing transfer news especially those I love to happen, but then again I also hate disappointments.

Manchester United Close In On £28m La Liga Wing Wizard: Sir Alex Ferguson to Secure David Silva Deal

http://i40.tinypic.com/20rr2x4.png

by Christian Bailey
on May 6th, 2010

Manchester United are reportedly very close to sealing a deal to sign Valencia’s Spanish international attacker David Silva this summer. The 24 year old flair player has been linked with a move away from the Mestalla for the the best part of three years but a deal is apparently close to being done to bring the winger to Old Trafford.

Sir Alex Ferguson is ready to offer a fee in the region of £28m for Silva and many believe that a deal may include the possibility of a young Manchester United player being sent on loan in the other direction with the likes of Federico Macheda and Brazilian Fabio being most likely to complete a season long spell at the La Liga club.

Valencia have been in financial difficulties for a few years and the need to sell one of their prized trio (David Villa, David Silva and Juan Mata) has reached a peak and the Spanish side seem loathed to lose prolific striker David Villa and are apparently more open to cashing in on Silva.

Manchester United are apparently keen on adding more creativity to their midfield and the fact that David Silva can play in a number of roles from out and out winger to the man in the hole behind the strikers, appeals to the Old Trafford boss.

Patrice Evra is ready to quit Manchester United this summer, with Real Madrid and Inter Milan ready to pay £18million. The France full-back, 28, is believed to want a new challenge. Evra's close ex-United pal Cristiano Ronaldo has recommended him to Real. Since his £7m move from Monaco 4½-years ago, Evra has established himself as one of the best left-backs in the world. He has two years left on his current deal worth around £80k a week. A sale would give United a serious profit on a player whose value will plummet next summer with only a year left on his contract.

Chelsea And Manchester City Offered Unsettled Barcelona Striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic - Report

http://i43.tinypic.com/f4jrjm.png

May 12, 2010 2:47:00 PM
Barcelona have offered Chelsea and Manchester City the chance to sign Zlatan Ibrahimovic for around £40 million, according to a report from the Daily Mail.

The Swedish international only arrived at the Nou Camp last summer, in a blockbuster £40m deal with Italian side Inter Milan that also saw Samuel Eto'o head in the opposite direction.

But the 28-year-old's form has been inconsistent this season, scoring a fairly disappointing 16 goals in all competition, and he was even withdrawn early by manager Pep Guardiola as the Catalan giants failed to defeat Inter in the Champions League semi-finals last month.

Consequently Barca president Joan Laporta has reportedly instructed 'super-agent' Pini Zahavi to gauge interest in the player from abroad, as the club try to recoup the money they spent on the skilful striker. Juventus have shown their interest in paying around £35m for their former star, but Laporta hopes either Chelsea or Manchester City will be more willing to meet their valuation.

Both Premier League clubs have been strongly linked with moves for strikers during the summer, with Liverpool's Fernando Torres, AC Milan's Alexandre Pato and Atletico Madrid's Sergio Aguero all reported targets. But either or both might be intrigued by the possibility of adding Ibrahimovic to their ranks.

Barcelona have been widely linked with an agreement to sign Valencia and Spain hotshot David Villa in the summer, a possible reason behind their sudden willingness to offload their big signing of the last summer transfer window.

Despite an underwhelming season Ibrahimovic is still ranked at an impressive No.9 in the Castrol Rankings, making him the third highest Barca player behind Gerard Pique (8) and Lionel Messi (1).

Bayern Munich midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger invites Premier League offers as he admits uncertainty over his future

German international unsure Allianz Arena fans are behind him

http://i42.tinypic.com/28uhhmh.jpg

By Alex Dimond
12 May 2010 14:35:00

Bayern Munich midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger has revealed the Premier League is his preferred destination if he leaves the recently crowned Bundesliga champions in the summer.

The 25-year-old, who has been named in Germany's provisional World Cup squad, has enjoyed a solid campaign this term as Bayern regained their domestic title and progressed to the Champions League final.

But despite such success, he admits he does not know if he will remain with the club after the tournament in South Africa.

The attacking midfielder is still disappointed but what he perceives to be the fickle nature of the fans at the Allianz Arena, pointing out that he wasn't always so popular when things weren't going so well for the club at the start of the season.

"It was often the case in the first half of the season that I would mis-place a pass in the first 20 minutes and I would be whistled at immediately," Schweinsteiger told German newspaper Bild.

"There were even whistles for me at the annual general meeting and that hurt.

"You never know what happens after a World Cup. I am really happy that we played such a good season, but to say now that I will always play for Bayern Munich would be wrong.

"Then if you do actually move, it would be an unfair proclamation to make to the fans."

With his future so uncertain, Schweinsteiger was willing to admit that if he were to leave, a move to the Premier League would be his preference, citing the supportive nature of the fans as a great attractions.

"When things were not going well, we were being whistled at immediately in the Allianz Arena, but that sort of thing does not happen in England," he added.

"I would like to have the whole stadium behind us even in difficult times."

Real Madrid's Lassana Diarra to join Manchester United in £21m deal - report

http://i42.tinypic.com/xbzfjn.jpg

12 May 2010 14:21:00

According to AS, Real Madrid defensive midfielder Lassana Diarra could return to the Premier League next season as Manchester United have reportedly expressed interest in signing the Frenchman and could pay nearly £20 million for his services.

After a very good start to the season, in which he was frequently compared to fellow Frenchman and ex-Blancos midfielder Claude Makelele, Diarra lost the confidence of coach Manuel Pellegrini, meaning he had fewer minutes and less importance within the team structure.

Thus, Los Blancos will reportedly attempt to sell the midfielder with the hope of cashing in on what could be a significant transfer fee.

Madrid bought Lass as a 2008 winter transfer recruit from Portsmouth and while United are said to be interested, Arsenal are also reportedly tempted to take the player back to the Emirates Stadium where he spent the 2007-08 season.

Diarra was called up to Raymond Domenech's French national team squad yesterday for participation in this summer's World Cup in South Africa.

Dimitar Berbatov vows to stay at Manchester United

Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov has rubbished rumours he will leave the club this summer, saying he "will fight to stay" at Old Trafford.

http://i43.tinypic.com/1fv62s.jpg

Berbatov has struggled to justify the £30.75m United paid Tottenham for him in 2008 and has been linked with Bayern Munich, AC Milan and a return to Spurs.

But upon announcing his international retirement, the 29-year-old Bulgarian said: "I am going nowhere.

"I have arrived where I wanted to be, I have reached the summit."

Berbatov has scored 26 goals in 65 appearances for United in the past two campaigns, but has come under fire this season from fans critical of his work-rate and profligacy in front of goal.

He did not start a single match in the Champions League knockout stages before United were knocked out by Bayern Munich in the last eight.

Critics have also suggested United lost the Premier League title to Chelsea in part because of his failure to act as an effective replacement for Wayne Rooney during the England striker's injury absence.

Berbatov, though, insisted he is determined to stay, adding: "United is the biggest team and I will fight to stay there until the end of my contract."

His current deal expires in two seasons' time in 2012.

While the Bulgarian appears content to shrug off criticism for his domestic performances, similar analysis of his international performances have played their part in his decision to quit the national team.

"I have decided to step down from the national team, starting today," he told a press conference in the Bulgarian capital Sofia, adding he wanted "to give younger players the opportunity to step out from my shadow".

Berbatov, Bulgaria's captain for the last three years, scored 48 goals in 74 international appearances and is the nation's all-time leading scorer.

But he said he was "discouraged" by Bulgaria's failure to qualify for the upcoming World Cup in South Africa, adding: "At times I feel tired, even exhausted by the national team."

It means the front man's appearance in the 2-0 defeat in Poland in March was his last at international level.

I think what he said about the fans is right, but maybe that was because of the weak performance of the team at the beginning of the season...
Anyway, Sweinsteiger is an indispensabile player, I was really impressed by his performance this season... He used to play as a winger, while this season he played as a center midfielder.. Great controller, great passer and great shooter... I hope he stays with Bayern for a long time along side with Phillip Lahm, these two are my favorites.

Cesc Fabregas to tell Arsène Wenger he wants to leave Arsenal and join Barcelona

Cesc Fabregas flew back from Spain on Tuesday and is set to tell Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger that he wants to return to Barcelona.

Previously, Fabregas has insisted he is happy in north London but Arsenal have gone five years without a trophy and, as a Barca fan – he went to his first game when he was nine months old - the lure to return has become too great.

It is understood that the Spaniard took a step closer to leaving the Emirates Stadium following reports, confirmed on the Barcelona website, that the La Liga champions want Fabregas. He is mulling over his future but has told friends he wants to leave.

If Arsenal relent, they would demand at least £30 million for a player who has a long-term contract at the Emirates.

Barcelona reported that Fabregas “made it clear last week that if he leaves the London club, it’ll be for Barca”.

Joan Laporta, the Barcelona president, said: “It’s remarkable that a player should commit himself in this way. If the club technical staff believe we need to make the extra effort and sign him, we’ll speak to Arsenal”.

Arsenal have refused to comment while Barcelona have followed protocol and have so far made no direct contact with Fabregas, who is still only 23.

It is not the first time Spain have courted a player who spent six years with Barcelona, from 1997 to 2003, scoring regularly for their youth teams.

Real Madrid have been consistently linked with the midfielder but even as recent as last season he insisted he was happy to remain, contented with working with Wenger and the style Arsenal play.

Fabregas is contracted to Arsenal until 2014 and losing him would be a massive blow to Wenger, who made Fabregas captain in 2008 and has a special relationship with him.

But the funds would enable Wenger to invest further in the club’s future attempts to win the Premier League for the first time in seven years.

Valencia have sold star striker David Villa to Barcelona according to Spanish media reports late on Tuesday.

The transfer fee agreed between the two clubs is around 45 million euros (55.48 million dollars), money which cash-strapped Valencia need in order to improve their dire financial situation.
Villa, 28, will sign a four-year contract with the Spanish champions after undergoing medical checks on Friday morning, then will be presented to the media as a Barca player on Friday evening.
Villa — who almost joined Real Madrid a year ago — was keen to resolve his future before going to South Africa to play for Spain the World Cup.
According to press reports, Barca’s next transfer target is Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas.

This one is not speculation. It actually is about to seal. He is undergoing medical and will be announced in few days time.

Zlatan said he'll be leaving Barcelona on his own terms (not traded or anything) if Villa joines Barca, so guess he'll be leaving :D

yeh, just saw it. I just picked a link because the deal is done so I just wanted to share it. As for Zlatan he has a contract, he can't leave unless some club pays for him.

Villa is gonna be a disappointment, el zalameh battal sari3 like b4, in my opinion Bracelona's biggest mistake was selling Eto'o cz he just FITS there bi sara7a, they're starting to do adrab men Real, na2eson Sergio Ramos w Torres (they have Messi who is better) w saro the Spanish team :p anw we'll see this year, but i don't expect them to be better than this year, Villa is good bas he's also getting old, and with Barca u have to be young and running in order to be seen as successful, that's what Zlatan and Henry taught us..):

Ribery staying at Bayern
Frenchman set to stay at German giants

Bayern Munich playmaker Franck Ribery has committed to the German club for another four years, according to newspaper Bild.

Ribery, who will be absent from Saturday's Champions League final against Inter Milan in Madrid due to suspension, was rumoured to be leaving Bayern at the end of the season in favour of a major club in Spain or England.

Real Madrid, Barcelona and Manchester United had all reportedly shown an interest in the French winger.

But Bild, citing club sources, revealed the new contract would be penned on Saturday when the 27-year-old returns to Madrid from the French national training camp.

The new deal will reportedly keep Ribery at the Allianz Arena until 2015.

Villa will be the same good player for the next 3 years. ( he is 28 now). Yeh after that he will become like Henry, but as for now I see him doing well, he will stay fast, skilled and helpful.
The Ibrahimovich deal was the worst deal ever worse than any deal Madrid did not because he is a bad player but because a direct swap between Etoo and him would have been enough. No need for another 45 million lol.
And now they are trying to fix it by bringing Villa. It's a shame that Barcelona who have the best youth policy still get themselves in such debt because they are stupid in transfers. I mean they got Chygrinsky for 25 million and he's sitting on the bench and isn't even the direct substitute for the defenders.

Anyway I think they will do well next year, so many options.
