Bayern Munich 2010-2011
This thread is dedicated to Bayern Munich and fans. post here the previews and results of Bayern games.
Yesterday's Match was between them and Wolfsburg. Bayern 2 - 1 Wolfsburg Mueller (9) Dzeko (55) Shweinsteiger (90+1) awesome goal by Thomas Mueller. |
Amazing goal :| nice pass from Ribery
|
Thomas Muller rules !!!!!!! :D
This guy is amazing, he's improving in every match.. Good to see Schweinsteiger scoring, Ribery was good too... Bayern made no signings this season, which is bad, I'm worried about the defense, demichelis wants to leave, so Bayern has van Buyten, Badstuber and Breno who are not good enough, they had so many problems in the defense last season, some changes should be done ! Anyway, I hope to see an exciting season, just like the last one... Good luck Bayern... |
Badstuber should be replaced, he can't cover the left side.
|
Badstuber is gonna play in the Center Back where he performs very well. the rising Deigo Contento will cover the left.

Kaiserslautern 2 - 0 Bayern Munich :@

Sosa completes switch to Napoli José Ernesto Sosa is to swap the foothills of the Alps for the shadow of Mount Vesuvius. The Argentina international, whose contract with Bayern was scheduled to run until 30 June 2011, is moving from the Bundesliga to Italy’s Serie A, joining 1989 UEFA Cup winners SSC Napoli for an undisclosed fee. Sosa came to Bayern from Estudiantes de La Plata in summer 2007. Many experts rated the attacking midfielder’s potential very highly, but the player was never able to make the breakthrough at FCB. Sosa, an Olympic football gold medallist in 2008, scored two goals in a total of 35 Bundesliga appearances. He also made ten appearances in European competition and six in the DFB Cup, adding no further goals to his total. The right-sided player spent the second half of last season back at his home club Estudiantes on loan. He has now left Munich and FCB for good, seeking a fresh start with UEFA Europa League hopefuls Napoli, who opened their Italian top flight campaign with a 1-1 draw away to Fiorentina on Sunday. The 25-year-old has signed a four-year deal with the Azzurri. fcbayern.de |
Another Disappointment.
Bayern München 0 vs 0 Werder Bremen With full strength. Mario Gomez should be sold soon and a better finished should contribute with the team. Müller was out of forum, while Ribery and Kroos was stunning! Bayern should really keep an eye on Marko Marin, Werder's playmaker.. this kid is outstanding. |
0 - 0 vs FC Köln today
Yes another disappointment 4 matches, 5 points.. :( |
David Alaba, the 19-years-old Austrian Midfielder is injured, and will be ruled out for six weeks
|
Every season Bayern has a bad start, I'm not worried about the team performance this season, I'm just little bit worried about the defense especially if they keep van buyten as a starter...

Daniel van Buyten scores late winner for Bayern 2 - 1 win at Hoffenheim

Ribery is suffering Ankle Injury, was tackled just before the 1st goal in the 63rd Minute.
Waiting till tomorrow, for the Medical Team report http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-..._5231183_n.jpg |
ribery's injury doesn't look good at all.
|
The great thing about Muller is that he's always in the right place to get the rebound and score. Golden Boy.
|
pick another nickname for him, the Golden Boy is ours  anyways yep he's a growing player game after game, I like him he's smart and willing to learn!
the TIGER rules! :ang: I love him :004: wtf is wrong with players and their tackling! :Tawa: first Valencia then Messi and now Ribery, they should punish players who cause such bad injuries, hek others won't dare to go in such silly and unnecessary challenges.. |
Ribery sidelined
Bayern feared the worst when a grimacing Franck Ribéry was supported from the field by two members of the coaching staff after 64 minutes of Tuesday evening’s Bundesliga fixture away to Hoffenheim. The Frenchman left the Sinsheim stadium on crutches, “and our first reaction was that it was really bad,” director of sport Christian Nerlinger told fcbayern.de. However, an MRI scan performed by club chief medic Dr. Hans-Wilhelm Müller-Wohlfahrt on Wednesday morning showed the injury was not as serious as originally feared. Ribéry has sustained a torn anterior ligament in his right ankle and also suffered bruising to the joint. “But he won’t require surgery, so there’s a silver lining to the cloud,” said Nerlinger, “I think he might be in a position to resume the team training programme in about three weeks.” fcbayern.de |
Bayern lost against Mainz in the bundesliga today (1-2) and still having 8 points out of 6 matches. That's a very bad start from them, while Mainz is leading the bundesliga with 6 wins out of 6 matches.
Bayern is certainly missing Robben and Ribery, add to it their weak defense and the Horrible Jorg Butt. The team needs to make changes in the defense ASAP, why the hell they don't buy new players and a goalkeeper? Meanwhile they had an offer to sell Gomez, the most useless player in Bayern's history, but they are keeping him for no reason. |
Contento sidelined for four to six weeks
Bayern’s current poor run of luck with injuries continued at the weekend on news that left-back Diego Contento will be out of action for up to six weeks. The 20-year-old defender has undergone surgery on his left groin, coach Louis van Gaal reported on Sunday. The Munich youth product could be back in training four weeks from now, Van Gaal said. Groin problems kept Contento out of Saturday’s 2-1 defeat at home to Bundesliga leaders FSV Mainz. For Tuesday’s Champions League trip to face Swiss double winners FC Basel, Van Gaal is also definitely without Arjen Robben, Franck Ribéry, David Alaba and Breno, although the Brazilian centre-back has now resumed the team training programme after recovering from cruciate ligament damage. fcbayern.de |
Van Gaal signs new deal Head coach extends stay until 2012 Bayern boss Louis van Gaal has signed a new contract keeping him at the helm of Germany’s most successful club until 30 June 2012. The head coach inked the new deal on Monday following the Bayern party’s arrival in Basel. Van Gaal’s staff members Andries Jonker (assistant coach) Frans Hoek (goalkeeping coach), Jos van Dyk (sport physiologist), Marcel Bout (scout) and Max Reckers (match analysis) will also remain with the club until 2012. “We’ve agreed the fundamentals of a contract extension. It's not signed yet, but it’s a mere formality,” Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge had announced ahead of the FCB party’s departure for Tuesday evening’s Champions League Group E fixture against the Swiss double winners. Van Gaal’s current deal in Munich was set to expire at the end of this season. The new contract removes any uncertainty over both parties’ positions for a further season. The board of directors was never going to be dissuaded from pursuing a new deal with Van Gaal simply because of the club’s patchy start to the 2010-11 campaign, Rummenigge stated. “I always prefer doing things which might not have been expected. People are always extending contracts after victories, so this sends out a very good signal to the world at large about our opinion of the coach’s value, even though we lost to Mainz,” the club chairman continued. fcbayern.de |

Schweinsteiger sidelined
Bastian Schweinsteiger has become the latest Bayern player forced to the sidelines with injury, joining a list already featuring the names of Arjen Robben, Franck Ribéry, Diego Contento, Hamit Altintop, Breno and David Alaba. In Sunday’s Bundesliga meeting with Borussia Dortmund, Schweinsteiger sustained damage to the ligaments in his instep – technically an incipient capsular tear in the tarsal area – and has pulled out of Germany’s EURO 2012 qualifiers at home to Turkey on Friday and away to Kazakhstan the following Tuesday. Schweinsteiger called Germany boss Joachim Löw on Monday afternoon to pass on the news. The diagnosis was made by Bayern and Germany chief medic Dr. Hans-Wilhelm Müller-Wohlfahrt following an MRI scan in Munich. The injury occurred when the midfielder turned his right foot during the match in Dortmund, leaving him in some pain afterwards. The likely length of Schweinsteiger’s lay-off has yet to be determined. fcbayern.de |
Disaster..
Disgusting! |
Diego Contento Has Rejected Germany To Play For Italy Bayern Munich youngster Diego Contento has decided to play for Italy rather than Germany, according to Die Mannschaft official Oliver Bierhoff. The 20-year-old defender had featured for Germany at the Under-17 and Under-20 levels, but is eligible to play for the Azzurri as he has not made a senior national team appearance. "We don't force anyone to play with us. For example, Diego Contento although he was born in Germany and could play for the German national team, decided on Tuesday to decline the invitation from the Under-21 side," revealed the former Milan and Udinese player to Tuttosport. "He did this because he wants to play for Italy, because emotionally and culturally he feels a part of that country. "Those like [Mesut] Oezil, [Lukas] Podolski, [Miroslav] Klose, and Cacau who have decided to wear the shirt of Germany did so because they felt they belonged to this nation. "Having said that, in Germany a foreigner is not a problem, but a fundamental resource for our social and sporting growth." The left-back has started seven matches in all competitions for FC Bayern this season. Goal.com |
Contento is originally from Napoli. And was named after Napoli Legend "Diego Armando Maradona"
|
Plus he gets way more chances in Italy because he doesn't face much competition. It's good for him as a whole.
|

Miro and Mark sidelined
A lengthening injury list is threatening to derail Bayern’s efforts to overcome their patchy start to the domestic season. Breno, Arjen Robben, Franck Ribéry, David Alaba, Diego Contento and Bastian Schweinsteiger are already sidelined, and Mark van Bommel, Miroslav Klose and Ivica Olic have now returned to Munich from national team duty with injuries. Van Bommel and Klose are definitely out of the next two to three matches. Klose sustained a hamstring strain in Germany’s 3-0 victory away to Kazakhstan and is out of action for the next ten days. He will miss Saturday’s Bundesliga fixture at home to Hannover 96 and Tuesday’s Champions League trip to CFR Cluj. He is also extremely doubtful for the away meeting with Hamburg three days after that. Van Bommel is sidelined for the same period. On Wednesday, Bayern doctor Hans-Wilhelm Müller-Wohlfahrt examined the FCB and Netherlands captain, establishing that the player had sustained ruptured tissues and extensive bruising to his right knee in a Euro 2012 qualifier against Moldova last Friday, but still appeared for the first 72 minutes of his country’s meeting with Sweden on Tuesday night. On a more positive note, Olic has not yet been ruled out of the Hannover clash. The 31-year-old broke his nose while playing for Croatia in a Euro 2012 qualifier away to Israel at the weekend and underwent corrective surgery in Munich on Tuesday. Further examinations on Thursday and Friday will determine whether Olic might be fit to play with a protective mask. fcbayern.de |

Long-running cup rivalry Bayern Munich vs Werder Bremen http://img440.imageshack.us/img440/9981/22162news.jpg Cup clashes between Bayern and Werder Bremen have popped up regularly down the years. The sides have met three times in the final, and six times altogether in the competition. Bayern, the most successful club in cup history, have won five of the six encounters, with the northerners victorious on just one occasion. The sides meet for the seventh time in the cup at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday evening. |
