Yes, who are they to play God and decide who lives and dies.I know he was the worst but its wrong very wrong in my opinion, if Suicide and killing is wrong where do thy come to decide who live and who dies are they GOD??

Well The syrians have done similar antrocities and have been violating the human rights since the Baath Party been in control. They have Masscared lebanese civilians for years. Also Iran is playing the same Game of Chemical weapons that Sadam had encountered. Do you think they will have the same fate as SADDAM ?

Lebanese Forces and Walid Jumblat made similar massacres to THEIR OWN "BROTHERS".

USA and Israel have done thousands of massacres in Palestine, Lebanon, and In iraq they caused so much chaos that it can not be stopped.

I am AGAINST execution in general , I go with jail.Thats one point.
And saddam didnt deserve to be executed, if it was a judical decision im ok with it. But its political ...and Bush, Olmert and all their companianos should be at the first of the list, But only JAIL !

Guys COME ON, you really think the US will go after Syria and Iran?

First, the US and Israel would NEVER want to remove Bachar al Assad from power, and the international tribunal will only affect individuals, and not the Assad regime.

Second, I garentee you, in a few months, US and Iran will shake hands again.

As for Hassan Nasrallah, come on dude you know better than that surely, if he is to be executed for massacres (lol?), then what about ja3ja3, Jumblat etc...

The Russian foreign ministery said that this is wrong.
Iran welcomed the execution.
Bush said this is a turning point in Iraq's history ..
Britain said he paid the price of the massacres he had done
Human rights watch dissappointed and said that history will make the ma7kameh pay for it.
France said : Iraqis should look to the future.

I wonder whats going to happen next ?

yes ghnadine , im strongly against excution cause we are not god, god chouse if some one day or not , and i think first they should hang bush ,sadam killed 149 iraqi,usa troops in the 4 years of occupation killed for than 600000 iraqi ,and 3000 for it soldiers.
2- sadam in the iraqi president and he is protected by constitution
3- they hang him on a case that happened before 26years and the international law say u after 25 years any case will be vannish
4- i think houssni moubarak did more than sadam ,and a lot of arab leadears like al malek houssain(king of jordan) ect...
5-why hang sadam and not hang milosovich the one who died in prison
,milosovich did more than sadam ,milosovich killed 3 million peapole in one week in belgrad

The Iranians are happy bcz saddam was hanged...but they forgot that the USA used him in order to make that war,and she was the one behind that war.

Some stupids of the Iraqi people are happy now ! but they forgot that people are getting killed daily because of the US occupation of their country,, and the number of the victims passed the number of the ones killed by saddam ( even i think that those who were killed by saddam maybe deserved to die,they tried to make a civil war in Iraq and divide it )

sure am against saddam hanging............only because the US executed the hanging...why america took that decision today? :@ today is ADHA the most important muslims occassion i think that arab leaders are with no more dignity..........just staring for all what is going on as if they are robots..........although saddam did many mistakes but the political message from this is obvious i think..............good bye arabs whose next...........

I was with him being sentenced to life in Jail after it is proved that he has done the massacres he is accused of.

I am totally against execution.


But I would have prefered if he stayed free.
Unless Bush and his orta are at the top of the list , I strongly refuse that he gets punished in any way even by being sentenced to life in jail.
Taking into consideration that Bush and his orta are the ones who forced the execution to take place.

نفذ حكم الاعدام شنقا في الرئيس العراقي المخلوع صدام حسين فجر اول ايام عيد الاضحى السبت اثر ادانته بقتل 148 قرويا شيعيا في بلدة الدجيل في ثمانينات القرن الماضي.


وعرضت قناة "بلادي" الفضائية العراقية السبت مشاهد لجثة الرئيس العراقي السابق صدام حسين عقب تنفيذ حكم الاعدام به. ونقلت المشاهد جثة صدام حسين مغطاة بكفن ابيض وممددة على سرير وظهر فيها الجانب الايسر من وجهه. وتحظى قناة "بلادي" الفضائية بدعم من احد التيارات الشيعية النافذة في العراق.
وقال مستشار الامن القومي العراقي موفق الربيعي الذي حضر اعدام الرئيس المخلوع ان صدام حسين "صعد بهدوء الى المنصة وكان قويا وشجاعا". واضاف ان الرئيس المخلوع لم يحاول المقاومة ولم يطلب شيئا. وكان يحمل مصحفا بيده طلب ارساله الى شخص. وتابع ان "يديه كانتا موثقتين عندما شنق".

واوضح الربيعي ان الرئيس السابق وحده اعدم. اما المدانان الآخران اللذان تحدثت انباء عن اعدامهما اخوه غير الشقيق برزان التكريتي رئيس المخابرات السابق والرئيس السابق للمحكمة الثورية عواد البندر فقد ارجىء تنفيذ الحكم فيهما.

وصرح رئيس الوزراء العراقي نوري المالكي بعد تنفيذ اعدام الرئيس العراقي المخلوع صدام حسين السبت ان صدام حسين كان "طاغية لا يمثل اي طائفة من الشعب (...) ولا يمثل الا نفسه الشريرة".
وفي كلمة نشرها مكتبه قال المالكي "نرفض رفضا قاطعا اعتبار صدام ممثلا عن اين فئة او طائفة من مكونات الشعب العراقي. فالطاغية لا يمثل الا نفسه الشريرة".

وصرح عضو البرلمان العراقي سامي العسكري مستشار رئيس الوزراء العراقي ان صدام حسين "فارق الحياة" فور تنفيذ الحكم باعدامه شنقا. وقال العسكري الذي حضر اجراءات اعدام صدام حسين التي تمت في مقر دائرة الاستخبارات العسكرية في منطقة الكاظمية (شمال بغداد) ان صدام حسين "اقتيد الى الاعدام بعد ان تلي عليه الحكم من قبل احد القضاة وسأله قاض آخر ما اذا كان لديه شيء يقوله او يوصي به".

واضاف "هناك طلب منه ان يتلو الشهادة. وبعدها وضع حبل المشنقة في رقبته ونفذ فيه حكم الاعدام ومات فورا. في اللحظة التي سقط فيها في الحفرة فارق الحياة".

من جانبه روى موفق الربيعي عملية تنفيذ الاعدام قائلا انها "تمت بحضور قضاة ومدعين عامين وطبيب وشهود". وتحدث الربيعي عن "بعض المشادات الكلامية قبل صعوده الى المشنقة لرفضه وضع كيس اسود على رأسه". ووصف الربيعي صدام حسين في تلك اللحظة بانه "كان ضعيفا جدا بشكل لا يصور".

واكدت مستشارة رئيس الوزراء العراقي للشؤون الخارجية مريم الريس ان عملية الاعدام "صورت" موضحة ان اللقطات ستبث لاحقا.

واوضحت الريس ان جلسة الاعدام حضرها ايضا القاضي منير حداد والمدعي العام منقذ آل فرعون وطبيب وممثل عن رئيس الحكومة نوري المالكي.

وقال مراسل لوكالة فرانس برس ان مدينة النجف الشيعية المقدسة جنوب بغداد تلقت بفرح نبأ اعدام صدام حسين.

وفي بغداد سمع اطلاق نار متقطع لمدة قصيرة وباتجاه احياء معظم سكانها من الشيعة. لكن الوضع عاد الى طبيعته في المدينة صباح السبت على ما يبدو.

ورأى الرئيس الاميركي جورج بوش في بيان في مزرعته في كروفورد (تكساس) ان تنفيذ حكم الاعدام في صدام حسين يشكل "مرحلة مهمة" على طريق احلال الديموقراطية في العراق و"نهاية سنة صعبة للشعب العراقية ولقواتنا".

واضاف ان هذا الحدث "لن ينهي العنف في العراق لكنه يشكل مرحلة مهمة على طريق العراق باتجاه ديموقراطية يمكن ان تحكم نفسها بنفسها وتتمتع باكتفاء ذاتي وتدافع عن نفسها وتكون حليفة في الحرب على الارهاب".

وكان صدام حسين حكم العراق بقبضة من حديد منذ 1979 وحتى سقوط نظامه في التاسع من نيسان/ابريل 2003. وقد حكم عليه بالاعدام في الخامس من تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر الماضي اثر ادانته في قتل 148 قرويا شيعيا في بلدة شمال بغداد اثر تعرضه لمحاولة اغتيال عند مرور موكبه فيها.

ورفضت محكمة التمييز الطعن في الحكم في 26 كانون الاول/ديسمبر. ونفذ حكم الاعدام فجرا في اول ايام عيد الاضحى بقرار من السلطات العراقية التي ذكرت من قبل ان احكام الاعدام لا تنفذ في الاعياد عادة. واعتقل صدام حسين (69 عاما) في كانون الاول/ديسمبر 2003.

وبموته تسقط كل الملاحقات المرفوعة ضده وخصوصا قضية الانفال التي كان يحاكم فيها بتهمة شن حملات ابادة على الاكراد وقتل 180 الفا منهم خلالها في 1987 و1988 .

وكانت الحكومة العراقية المكلفة تطبيق الحكم التزمت الصمت حول موعد ومكان الاعدام وتفاصيله العملية وحتى حول مصير جثة الرئيس السابق.

Everybody who made massacres have to pay the price but Human cannot finish life of other human it is only GOD who gave and take lifes so i am with the side that vote for Jailing saddam for life but not to kill him.
and There are many leaders in lebanon who made massacres and akid we will not and we cant forget JUMBLAT and Geagea and many leaders even some of them are with MOU3arada now everybody should be judged.
