After releasing Ian McVey (206-F/C-82, college: Utah St.), Sagesse sports management decided to sign with an american center called Brand Micah (210-C-80, agency: Rose Professional Mngmnt, college: Massachusetts) who has just finished from playing in Chinese league with Shougang Beijing Ducks.

Brand has a soft touch around the hoop, He played previousley in Finland (Season 2003-2004), Chile (Season 2004), Argentina (Season 2004-2005 & 2005-2006) & Mexico (Season 2005).

A new coach for the Lebanese Young National Teams

The Lebanese Basketball Federation signed Coach Adriano Geraldes as a Head Coach to take over the U19 and the U17 Lebanese Men National Teams.
Coach Geraldes will have the task to take the U19 Lebanese Men National Team to the U19 World Championship which will be held in Novi Sad - Serbia , the coach will have also in his schedule the U17 West Asian Championship which will be held in Tehran - Iran in August 2007 .
Coach Geraldes coached the Brazilian Junior National Teams for 3 years and have a good experience in the international scene for teaching and coaching young players the aspect of the game.

عين الاتحاد اللبناني لكرة السلة في جلسته أمس المدير الفني للنادي الرياضي فؤاد ابو شقرا مدرباً للمنتخب الوطني الأول الذي يستعد للتصفيات الآسيوية المؤهلة الى أولمبياد بكين عام .2008 وســيساعد ابو شــقرا في مهامــه المدرب الأرميني ديكران غيوكجيـان بعدما أثبــت هذا الثنائي نجاحاً كبيراً على صعيد الأندية.
وعلم أن الاتحاد سمى فريقي الرياضي وبلوستارز لتمثيل لبنان في بطولة أندية غرب آسيا المقررة في حلب بين 1 و9 نيسان المقبل، والمؤهلة الى بطولة الأندية الآسيوية.

GENEVA (2007 FIBA U19 World Championship) - FIBA, in cooperation with the Serbian Basketball Federation, hosted today in Novi Sad the draw for the 2007 FIBA U19 World Championship for Men.

The 8th FIBA U19 World Championship will be played from 12th to 22nd July 2007 in Novi Sad (Serbia) with 16 teams comprised of players born in 1988 or after.

The Ex-US DREAM TEAM "DION GLOVER" signed with RIYADI.
Riyadi Admin uncovered a huge and a very pleasant surprise of signing the EX-NBA and USA Dream Team player, Dion Glover, who replaced Adam Spanich (and Calvin Warner before him). Dion had played in the NBA for Atlanta Hawks, Houston Rockets Toronto Raptors, and San Antonio Spurs. The details of the contracts were not revealed, however, one thing is sure which is that Riyadi Admin broke in into a new dimension this time… something very new to the Lebanese and Arab Leagues. Dion was selected by Atlanta Hawks in the first round of the 1999 NBA Draft. According to Hawks.com, "Glover finished the 2002-03 season as the Hawks’ fourth-leading scorer and fifth-best rebounder”.

In the name of Riyadi fans, we would like to welcome Dion Glover to our family and wish him the best of luck and success with our team. We also urge all Riyadi fans to attend the upcoming games to cheer for the players and welcome Dion yet ask them to avoid any non sports related slogans.

http://riyadi.com/Mack_tuck.jpg After the disappointing performance by Dion Glover during his trial period with Riyadi and due to a sever unhealed knee injury, Riyadi decided to replace Glover with the 32 year old American Mack Tuck who was recently playing with Shangdong Jinsidun Lions in China.
Tuck's profile asserts that he is a very good 3 pt shooter, an excellent finisher, and great defender – a real scorer. Could Tuck be the long awaited for player who will close the gap that Tony Madison left in the club?
