Wasta isn't a main agent for all domains and jobs, but it help in most of them. Masalan la tfout 3a chi wazifeh bel dawleh baddak BIG WASTA + CERTIFICATE.. la tfout 3al 7arbiyyeh chi retbeh m3ayyaneh baddak WASTA + GOOD CERTIFICATE (BIG WASTA ma btechkeh men chi kamen :p). Hayda ra2ieh. Thanks

IN lebanon bi doun wasta u cant find a job and that is what is wrong and with no wasta u will not develop for example my father when he was a "ra2id" 5 years ago michel el murr ma 5alle yetra2a cz he was with GENERAL MICHEAL AOUN :S:@

Ma3 L asaf, it is very important, this is what i think, a wasta in lebanon is sometimes better than a degree somewhere else.. too bad.

wasta in lebanon is like vitamin w!! mainly mesh bas jobs but everythng needs some onez big wasta 2 achieve or 4 us 2 get wut we want..weather universityz acceptnce, tuitions aid ,jobs and wutever...thats lebanon:)

The red part is untrue. If a person is a graduated engineer for example and because he had no wasta he ends up teaching mathematics for fourth graders, you can't call that work. If someone who has a degree ends up wrapping subs at a restaurant, you can't even call that a job. Without a wasta, those are the kinds of jobs you would find yourself stuck in, at least that is what my little experience tells me.

what malouka said is right,not just no wasta no work,in come cases u need wasta to get accepted to a certain uni... it happed to my friends who applied for the faculty of engineering @ lebanese uni..

Well , wasnt for the wasta , i wouldnt be where i am now , my BT 3 years studying in the technical school was done by a waste by " Amal " [tho i hate this fact :p] , my discount for the uni was done also by an amal wasta . and last to work at the macdonalds , ill need a wasta from amal :D

yeah wasta in lebanon is a very important thing sadely....and actually it can make l oumme wl fechil a very important man and he can take the place of a person who studied and has an high level of education......and about the wasta we can ask mr phenomenal about it and let him explain to us how it works:P(tefjir w darak w klashen:P)
