قال الرئيس السوري بشار الأسد، خلال تدشين المرحلة الأولى من إنتاج سيارة "شام" التي هي صناعة سورية - إيرانية مشتركة، ان "التعاون السياسي بين سوريا وايران ممتاز". وأمل "أن يتم البناء على تلك العلاقات السياسية الممتازة بين الجانبين عبر تعزيز العلاقات الاقتصادية والتجارية والصناعية". ووصف تدشين السيارة، وهي بمواصفات سيارة "بيجو" الفرنسية، بأنه "خطوة كبيرة تخدم مصالح الشعبين

واضاف: "من المهم جداً ان نعزز التعاون السياسي بربط المصالح المشتركة للشعبين من خلال الصناعة ومن خلال اقتصادهما ومن خلال مجالات اخرى، وهذا المعمل خطوة كبيرة لتعزيز هذا التعاون بين سوريا وايران، ونحن فخورون جدا بهذا المعمل

وجال الأسد مع نائب الرئيس الإيراني برويز داودي، الذي وصل إلى دمشق للمشاركة في التدشين، داخل مصنع الشركة السورية - الإيرانية في مدينة عدرا الصناعية قرب دمشق. وتُنتج السيارة "شام" بالاشتراك مع شركة "خودرو" الإيرانية
ورأى مسؤول سوري ان "إنتاج أول سيارة سورية يمثل إدخال تكنولوجيا صناعية جديدة في سوريا، ستحرض على قيام صناعات صغيرة تدخل في مكونات السيارة

واوضح المدير العام للصناعات الهندسية زياد قطيني ان "الشركة الإيرانية تساهم بـ 40 في المئة من رأس مال الشركة البالغ 60 مليون دولار، فيما تساهم وزارة الصناعة بـ35 في المئة وتساهم شركات في القطاع الخاص بـ25 في المئة". وقال إن "طاقة المعمل الجديد حالياً تبلغ 100 عامل من المدربين على أن تصل إلى 400 عامل مع اكتمال المشروع وخطوط الإنتاج

وافادت مصادر أن سعر سيارة "شام" يصل إلى 12 ألف دولار وستبلغ طاقتها الإنتاجية السنوية نحو عشرة آلاف سيارة بواقع 40 سيارة يومياً

على صعيد آخر، عرض نائب الرئيس السوري فاروق الشرع مع داودي "التطورات الراهنة في المنطقة وخصوصاً في
العراق والاراضي الفلسطينية ولبنان". وقالت الوكالة العربية السورية للأنباء "سانا" "ان وجهات النظر كانت متفقة في المواضيع مدار البحث وخصوصاً احباط المحاولات الرامية الى بث الفتن والفرقة لتحقيق أطماع القوى التي لا تريد الخير للمنطقة وشعوبها". وأشارت الى ان الجانبين أكدا "اهمية تكثيف اللقاءات والتشاور وتعزيز التنسيق بينهما ازاء التحديات الراهنة

It's a good advancement for Syria and Iran ... they are developping more and more each day ... while we are busy here critisize them more and more each day ...

It can happen 40 cars a day around Syria and Iran.
Remember that Syria is about 100 000 Km2.
Don't u think there are 40 persons who will buy cars like these if they dnt cost a lot? Don't forget the offices for rent.

At least they are doing something for their country creating their own which is the least I can say about ouR country,that dosn't mean I like them.

Yeah at least they are producing a car of their own (i dont see it as a bad car at all bil3aks i see it as a nice car, si3ra 12 000 $...not bad) , and some people here are criticizing them here...let us (lebanon) produce a car first and then we can criticize them

SYRIA will be a developed country after 10 years and Iran is one from now.....while lebanese people are so smart to not using their heads in developping their own gr8 country..... the world is benefeting from the lebanese mind while this small country need more then 1000 year more to forget its PAST......GOOD FOR U SYRIA....

even if i don't like syria i can't ignore it's a big improvement.
ino the car looks nice but don't you think 60 million dollars is a small amount for cars production company?
