EA sports FIFA 2008
 

FIFA 2008 is here, videos are everywhere over youtube, and everybody is talking about this game and some people are getting ready for it, including me, by playing the Demo version(479mb).
the first impression i got is that i managed to have good graphics and good performance on my pc. the second impression is that they improved the gameplay and made it more and more realistic while preserving the same engine.
so if anyone played it, share with us ur thought:)

FIFA 2008 is gd but it can be alot better than wat it is now.
it have a gd gameplay bas the ball movement isn't so realistic.
i prefer PES specially that pes 08 is on its way to be published.

I Prefer PES 6 its more realistic with a smarter engine simply for pros.

EA sais in the demo, that the game has improved AI (artificial intelligence) and defense logic, it is hard to score, U CAN CONTROL THE GOAL KEEPER!!!!!!

PS:
the minimum requirements are fake LOL, there is no way fifa2008 can run on such pc with 800*600 resolution.

FIFA 08 on PC is a simply a Rip off it uses the same engine from 2004 till now,plus it still have the current generation graphics just like the PS2 and XBOX. while on ps3 and xbox 360 FIFA is next generation and it differs on the PC version. but this year PES 2008 is next generation on PC :D plus 3000 players were licensed and it looks like a gr8 game :D

although im a die hard fifa fan :(

the 2004 engine is not the same as 2005->2008 because the 2004 fifa was the worst fifa since fifa 94 maybe:p and it is obvious from the game play that 2004 engine was changed in 2005 and it was a total disaster:p

same engine but with modification , same graphics and physics same faces same stadiums same spectators and same boring M3ali2 :D :D

First of all, I would like to start off by thanking Kingroudy for posting a download link for the Fifa 2008 Demo...Thanks bro...Now, guys, i tried the demo version, and this is what i saw...The AI (Artificial Intelligence) is greater than any other version...The graphics are also a bit more realistic...The moves are still the same as they are...So minor changes have occured...For all Fifa 2007 lovers, my advice to you, BUY FIFA 2008!!!!!

You see here's what FIFA and PES differ in...

Fifa has much more realistic graphics and player shape and such...

PES has a much better ball movement, shooting, etc...

But since 2005, I always buy the new versions of PES and FIFA, and always realize that PES has nothing new, just the new formations and ingame specialties, no specialties on the field...While FIFA adds new specialties everywhere...Im hoping that as the guys said above, that PES 2008 will be something special...

downloaded it yesterday...it took me 4 hours to download it:)

the graphics are bad..u can adjust ur graphics since it's demo,and the game play is better than 2007 and more realistic...yalla in 28 September btenzal in europe and lebanon,and 7 octobre in USA !

adjust the screen resolution before u enter the game, this might help, and this does not make the graphics bad.

i am playing fifa08 on my ps2 and the graphics are great :P the ball has a good mouvement and it's better than the pro evolotion on the ps2 and i recomend this game on the ps2:p

i played both fifa 2008 and PES8 both are demo.
My opinion PES is a way better than FIFA.
there is no way to compare them fifa should cross a long road to arrive to the level of PES.
PES is so real.
if u have gd graphics u will play a game in reality.
it's that simple

i already downloaded the demo and the full version of FIFA 2008 it rox !!! really nice game everyday i play it for 1-2 hours when i am bored :P nice graphics and nice movement of the ball

I bought the game yesterday playing it with a maximum level of graphics and it's like 2007 concerning graphics slightly better...but the game play is better:D,,,and it's too hard:D..i used to defeat world class opponents 4-0 in 2007 now in 2008 im not able to defeat them in professional level:p

Well, i bought Fifa 2008 today and started playing it on PC...The world class level (which i always play against) is extremely hard...The only improved things are Ball Movement and AI (Artificial Intelligence)...To be honest i was disappointed, because i was looking forward, or hoping that Fifa improved the features in Manager Mode...I think that PES 2008 will absolutely bash Fifa this year...We will just have to wait and see...

The Game is awesome, awesome graphics, awesome gameplay, and I think its different from other football games I mean its not easy to control it, but still the game is great

Personal note to lf_rabieh: Try playing against ur team on a level of World Class lool...And put their goalkeeper on World Class lool...I dare you to score lool...Yesterday i was loosing, today im winning:p...Guys, the Artificial Intelligence in this game is absolutely amazing...It just seems so real...

i was playing PES2008 1 sec ago.
my dignity doesn't allow me to play fifa(sorry fifa lovers) but its a truth.
i wish u could see wat i was doin wiz christiano Ronaldo wizout any special button.

Well, the truth is that every PES game is just like the one before...With the same options, the same gameplay, the same ball movement, the same everything...I suggest you to make a thourough comparison between FIFA 2008 and PES 2008 before commenting...

ah i did Sniper and FIFA 2008 can't be compared with the New PES 2008,

1. ba3den if u played PES 2008, is it the same as PES 6,
2. kamen if the ball movement are gd why they should change it-no need for changing if things are okay,
3. the graphics of the PES 2008 are awsome one and no can deny this fact,
4. the special effect of the game like the game entrance and other thing are amazing,

i played fifa and pes and pes is wayyyy better.:crazy:

you're posting to post, because u did not play the two games, while, if u read well what was posted in this thread (previous pages) u could see that me and Dr.Scoo played both games. and FIFA SUCKS BIG TIME. and i'm not gonna get it this year.
(i know mesh ra7 yente7rou bi EA, bas ennou:p)
and i simply CANNOT wait to get the full version of PES 2008 the game that simulates football like no other.

1) Im sure it will be when i try it...My friends that have tried it tell me it sucks:D

2) Change is good, why should i buy a new game, if everything in it is just like the old, i would just manually change the formations:D

3) I watched trailers of both FIFA 2008 and PES 2008...And allow me to say, FIFA 2008 has much better graphics...

i don't feel like arguing with you, cuz, u know, the graphics u are talking about, that u saw in fifa, are obtained on workstation graphic computers, while the medium level of detail in pes can't be distinguished from real time soccer.
the amount of change in fifa 2008 relative to 2007 is WAY > LESS < than the amount of change in pes 2008 relative to pes 6.

and note that fifa players suck when playing pes, but NOT vice versa.
