in the past few weaks google announced a new 3d design program :Google SketchUp 5.24
it is a pretty progam and we should give it a try.

about the program

ur right, we have a good number of visitors and registered memebrs, but many of them are still not active, so they just read the posts.

my advise for 3D is use only one of these 3:
3DSMax (my choice), Maya, MilkShape3D.
if u are doing 3D only that is fine, but if u want to export ur scenes to other programs or stuff (games), then u need powerful engines that support writing customized plugins. I do not see this google thing as powerful, it is only an editor above a 3D engine, but nobody knows, it might make it.

zeraw i agree with u that this is not a quite powerfull program like the ones u mentioned, but my opinion, this program is good for amatuers and hobbiest how would just need simple tools.
