is there any program where i can control the sounds of programs? for example i want to lower the windows live messenger sound to the minimum level , and keep my system sound high.

I removed live messenger's message sound notifications long time ago, so useless, just look for the orange blinking and you're ok. However, if you click on the system's sound mixer you can control the volume of google talk ( if you have it) but msn messenger isn't there.
