Minimizing the size of a movie file
 

Hi Guys,

Xcoder..you might be able to help as well ...

I have a question...how to make .avi files smaller so we can fit them on a vcd and not a dvd..

let me give you an example...the "Sahriye" video file (Ziad Rahbani play) is posted on this website..I downloaded it .. .it's 660 MB...now I want to put it on a CD so I play it on my DVD Player...but too bad that I don't have a DVD burner on my pc so I burn it directly on one...

I'm using Nero 6.6 and I'm trying to make the file as a VCD so it plays on a DVD Player...but when I do that..Nero says that the output file is going to be around 850 MB which will not fit on a 700 MB CD.......

how do you think I should get around that problem???

Any ideas guys??? Xcoder what do you say about that?

use any video editing software (i use Ulead VideoStudio) and reduce a little bit the quality of the .avi file which will decrease its size.

it's matter of time
vcd doesn't count the quality it's like wave it makes the vcd 7asab l duration but u can make 2 vcd :D wa2ta tekhlass l awleh it ask for another cd insert it :) that's what i do with roxio :P
