What was by and large an anticipated fact before the formal announcement has been confirmed as FIFA decided in favour of Brazil to host the World Cup after South Africa 2010...

It was a decision marked by no small frustration on the FIFA President's part, Blatter being left exasperated by Brazil's sole candidacy.
This was a large part of the reason that FIFA have now scrapped the controversial continent rota that limited bids to just one area of the world at a time.
Joseph Blatter was forced to deposit a lot of faith in the Brazilian government and Teixeira's CBF (Confederação Brasileira de Futebol - Confederation of Brazilian Football) for the 2014 edition.
“It wasn't easy for us to make the decision. We had a team of experts visit this nation of 190 million inhabitants and the country has been approved", explained Blatter.
The Zurich-based event included acceptance speeches from Brazilian state President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, a clan of twelve sports ministers under Orlando Silva, the writer Paulo Coelho, the striker Romário and national Coach Dunga.
It's the second time that a World Cup comes to Brazil, the first having been won by Uruguay against Brazil at Maracanã, South America having hosted four editions so far: Uruguay (1930), Brazil (1950), Chile (1962) and Argentina (1978).

Since its in Brazil, I guaren-damn-tee that Brazil Team will win that Cup :W

dont be so sure sherriff ... 1950 , the final , uruguay vs brazil , uruguay won , 10s of thousands of brazilians faded away , some had heart attacks , some died cuz of the shock .. its a sad history for all the brazilian fans :(. ...
btw they won it by solo , so there was absolute no kind of competing in making better playground , better programs and organization :S....a

as a german fan i m saying that ur not gonna win anno the last world cup was in germany so ma rbe7na . and if it gonna be in brezil some rich country gonna buy it from u la2an brezil is so poor w she need some moneys so ur not gonna win 7atta if u havent sold it bas the players are not gd like before & we had seen it with france the last cup :D:D:D anw gd luck :)
