What kouchner is missing is very simple :

They all want a consentual president BUT to HA and the opposition the only consentual president is GMA..

So he should be our new president as he is the only consentual candidate.

I think this is where he got a bit confused..

But dont forget that to one of the major player which is HA , GMA is the only candidate.
Why I am so sure about it ?
Because they have been deceived by many and by now they know that he is honnest and kilmto kilmeh and HA are strategic players.
So HA will defend his candidacy till the end or untill he decides that he is out of the race.
And if GMA is not the president then there will be no president for 6 years or like GMA said a transitional president for 2 years .

If they had accepted the Unity gvt., this would have spared the country the dark days that I have a sense are coming.

Just like you FPM'ers dont want Geagea as the next president, the LF'ers dont want Aoun as the next president...I say lets blow up the whole country and save ourselves from a "coming soon" civil war...

But the LF ers are not a major player at all.
You should have listened to Ghassan Tueyni yesterday criticizing them , he even said that without the LBC their voice will be unheard.

As per Geagea the opposition refused 5 of the 6 names that were on Bkirki List. See I told you the only consentual candidate is GMA lol.

There will not be a civil war.. And if there is a president that HA do not approve then there will be problems. Dont forget that if they dont approve the president, they would have lost it all and they would have nothing to lose anymore.

Never fight a person who have nothing to lose coz that would be dangerous..

And I think that what makes the situation risky because you would be against people who have lost it all and to them chaos or no is the same...

Personally i prefer someone like General Michel Sleimen or Domianos Qattar or Riad Saleme to take over the presidency, that way everyone will be happy, and we will have a chance to avoid a new civil war...

GMA is next to impossible to be the next president BUT HA will not easily give their approval to anyone else. There will be some major changes in the whole area and all the negotiations will be through the government, Do you expect HA just to let that government be under anyone but GMA especially with the current parliament? That is why I see no solution....both sides will have a lot to lose if they lose this battle to Baabda, and with the mistrust between them they can't choose a consensual president whose program they would preset together...It is a deadlock...
