بعد ان فشل في إقناع والده بإخراجه من مدرسته الداخلية في سعدنايل، لم يجد الطفل هاني حكمت العلايلي عشر سنوات (فلسطيني الجنسية)، سوى رواية بوليسية رواها للأجهزة الأمنية حول اختطافه من قبل ملثّمين هدّدوه بالذبح بعد أن احتجزوه في غرفة مهجورة في أعالي بلدة الكرمة في اعالي بلدة سعدنايل المحاذية لمدينة زحلة. فقد انشغلت الاجهزة الامنية والقضائية في منطقة البقاع الاوسط بحكاية اختطاف الطفل العلايلي التي حاكها لعناصر مخفر زحلة.

ووفق الطفل المذكور، فإنّه تعرّض للاختطاف من قبل شخصين وحجزوه في غرفة مهجورة في اعالي بلدة سعدنايل وتعرّضوا له بالتهديد بقتله، مستعملين سكاكين وفق ما افاد للمحقّقين، ومن ثمّ تركوه.

وكان الطفل العلايلي قد استنجد بعائلة من آل ابو حمدان تسكن في بلدة الكرمة، راوياً لهم حكاية اختطافه، فتمّ الاتصال بقوى الامن الداخلي التي حضر عناصرها الى بلدة الكرمة واجروا التحقيقات، وتبين ان الغرفة التي ادعى الطفل بأنّ خاطفيه قد وضعوه فيها، تعود للمواطن ج. م. ولا تفتح على الريموت كونترول كما قال لهم.

وتبين من التحقيقات ان كل ما افاد به الطفل العلايلي لم يكن سوى رواية منه للتخلّص من المدرسة الداخلية، خصوصاً أنّه لم يعثر على اي آثار تعذيب على جسم الطفل كما ادعى، ولم يعثر في الغرفة على اية اوصاف كان قد ذكرها.
