Maradona Jnr Attracting Spanish Interest
 

The son of Diego Maradona has claimed that he has been contacted by unnamed clubs in Spain regarding a potential move to La Liga.

21 year old Maradona Jnr currently plies his trade with Italian Serie D side Venafro but has never graced the stage at a higher level.
He has however reported interest from clubs in Spain’s top two divisions and says he is waiting to see what develops.
"There have been contacts from Spain, both top flight and others from the second division. We will see what happens" he told globoesporte.com.
"I think my style is similar to Carlos Tevez. I am a player who likes attacking, but also competes in midfield and always at speed" he added.
Longer term, the son of the legendary Argentine would like to follow the example set by his father by playing for the Albicelestes, even though he was born in Italy.
"I have Argentinian relatives in my family and the national team would be a dream, as well as playing at Napoli" he explained.
Diego Sinagra, to give him his proper name, was a result of the affair between Maradona Sr. and a young Neapolitan woman, Cristina Sinagra. He has represented Italy at U-17 level.
