Can any body help me start up this computer to run on the internet. It has a duo core and has cable optimum with booster I am told. TIA Ken

yea, It seems to be a definite starty problem. If I knew what SUSE means maybe I could pick run level because that it is what the pc is asking. TIA griller

Also The person who had this pc running is highly intellgent but became paranoid and shut off. Thanks for responding. TIA griller

Suse is a linux distro. And you need to give us more details..
Is this the distribution that came with the computer? What's the Suse version? Do you have Suse CDs in case you need to repair?
Lastly.. since Suse probably doesn't have GUI embedded, do you have Windows XP CDs in case all fail?

Re: suse run level ?

Ok Icemaker I finally got some info on that computer. It is running an open 10.2 Suse. I say that with finding all the disks in his folder. Don't forget he has a duo core high speed system. I believe it also has windows xp sp2 also. When it starts up it uses 20 cpu. After sitting for about 10 mins. it jumps to 30 cpu. There are 2 other readouts also. We have optimum cable with a boost from supplier. There is a router installed also. I am typing from other pc.I see also he has a lot of musical cds in his collection. I will get the other readouts if you need. Oh I do not know yet if this is a distribution with computer. I will try to find out. I have only one CD for Windows XP. Hope this can help. TIA griller
