Well it depends on who u are adressing, if u are makin an excuse for ur parents I use the following:

" ma 7adan jeyeh boukra"

or

" The principal came to our class and said that 4 teachers 3andon stage so if we are going to show up to class we are going to study for 1 hour only"

but if u are making the excuse for a teacher or a principal there are too much to use:

" My grandmother is really sick"

"My father's friend died and I was with him in the funeral" ( be carefull it works onli one time :D)

and my personal favorite:

"Familly Reasons" :D

when i don't do my homework simply i say : i had no idea about it or i was feeling sick and couldn't do the homework or... my dog ate it :D

Teacher: "Charbel? Lesh Kenet Ghayib El Jem3a El Madye?"
Student: "Kenet 3el2ein Men Wara l'Talej!"
Teacher: "Lesh Wen Sekin?"
Student: "3amshit"
LOOOL, It Was Hilarious, The Whole Class Started To Laugh.
