Real format to MP3 format?

I'm not sure if i am in the right section.

Well here's my problem i have a bunch of songs in real format and i heard there is a way to change them to mp3. But i didnt know how or what i need?

In real format it wont let me upload them to itunes or put them on a cd.

Any suggestions?
