Illegal characters for Windows file names!
The following reserved device names cannot be used as the name of a file in windows:
CON, PRN, AUX, NUL, COM1, COM2, COM3, COM4, COM5, COM6, COM7, COM8, COM9, LPT1, LPT2, LPT3, LPT4, LPT5, LPT6, LPT7, LPT8, and LPT9. However, you can still rename your file "Windows", "Bill Gates", "b****", "f***" and many more ... :) |

If u try renamin it without the extension , Nothin happens , the file's name stays the same

When I use a hex-editor and try to "Save As" the file with for example "com1"
I get the message: "The file name is a reserved device name Please choose another name" However, I succeded in renaming the file... :P I used the rename function in the hex-editor... 2el file shaklou mou3ak...:) |
