Hitting your children

okay so i was watching this serie yesterday "desperate houswives" and this question came to my mind:

What is everyone opinions and thoughts on hitting the children?

I think there are much better ways to teach them what is wrong and not to do!

Do you think that sometimes you should hit the kid just to let him understand?

ok, I am against the "Hitting Your Children" policy, but sometimes, el walad bado kaf aw tnen ta you3a, unfortunately there are parents who dont take their children as human and they start beating them very brutaly (ex: tie them up and start beating them) thats unacceptable, sometimes parents think that they own the child's life ):

I think a slap or two is enough for a beating ( w hay iza zeda al walad bi ghaletto) then a punishment w khalas the kid will learn his lesson

If u beat the kid all the time, he will have alot of problems when he grow up ):

anw thats my opinion about that.... I think parents that beat their children in a brutal way are simply monsters that need help !!!

I agree with you, I am against parents hitting their children...most of the parents lack the patience and are ignorant...they often choose to hit their child instead of explaining to him the reason behind his bad behavior, and punishing him for it...i'm not saying that the child isn't capable of putting his parents out of their mind, but still, beating is never a GOOD solution...

depends on the child
personnaly my parents never laid a hand on me :huh: but I was (and kinda still am) a sensitive person :$ verbal punishment and the look of disappointment on my parent's face was like hell to me :(
on the other hand some kids are stubborn and lack discipline w bala e7ses. they might need some physical punishment :huh:

It is up to the parents in each individual case...

I am against interference with the way parents raise their children, if some parents somewhere want to beat their children (even if brutally), I dont think anyone has the right to interfere...

As for whether I think children should be beaten up or not from time to time, I don't know. After I have children, I will tell you.

I am against but i would kick his/her a$$ if I knew that he/she is following lfers and becoming one.

I think dialog would be a more better way than hitting children.
when u raise ur child to trust you and to be honest and discuss things with you hitting the child become useless

and i would hit my children only in some cases:
1-if i saw him smoking:D
2-if i saw him making a tatoo
3-if i saw him making a piercing
