Intel Vs AMD

I don't think on can say that one of these companies is better than the other when it comes to performance and quality, sometimes Intel releases something that is better than AMD and sometimes AMD releases something that is better than Intel, this is the best situation a consumer can hope for.
However, I still like and prefer AMD. |
i have used both,
mnel ekher :P i am using a triple core AMD processor with4 g rams and its a hell of a performer, its not abbout price /performance, its about doing a lot for less time, intels new tech i7 has reversed eng. tech from amd including the direct onchip mmory controller.. intel is better at overcloking its core 2, and by the way in intel, 2 is better than 4 so skip the quads for the moment unless they are i7. scre* intel :P |
why are the duals better than the quads in intel??^^

depend oon the software, unless an application is multi threaded ma 2elo 3aze el quad, the communication and sync between the 4 cores takes much time than 2 cores if an app depends on speed get a dual if ur using vista or windwos 7 or fedora 10 get quad , the multi core usae is built in the OS

why the hell is intel dominating the market??
why isnt there any competitor??? even AMD are failures infront of intel . theyr still on the 65 nm arch. and their cpus overheat and consumes alot of power , thus shorter life time . while intel are the only ones on the planet with 45 nm processors , much more power , less heat and more life time. if anyone can compete with intel , prices would be way much lower then now . |
well it has been two days and i am trying to configure which is the best
AMD/intel CPU akid comparing to the Price. As performance AMD and Intel are quit similar , according to Review Websites, AMD and Intel are almost even in performance issue, In Price AMD beats Intel. Why Intel is dominating the market, well first intel is very Old in microprocessor market, It was among the first company that developed CPU worldwide. it is a Brand Name. AMD used to suffer at first of overheating issue with its first CPU produced which gave it a not-very good reputation specially within the gamers communities. |
