beware of the sun !

summer is near and I know most of you like to lie down on the beach w ya3emlo bronzage so I think it's appropriate to write a thread now and warn you about some of the hazards that the sun causes and some of the precautions to take

sun exposure causes cancer, sunburn, disease (butyou already know that) what you don't know is that sun exposure also causes skin aging, yes girls, ra7 t5atiro bakkir :hawhaw:

" Without protection from the sun’s rays, just a few minutes of exposure each day over the years can cause noticeable changes to the skin. Freckles, age spots, spider veins on the face, rough and leathery skin, fine wrinkles that disappear when stretched, loose skin, a blotchy complexion, actinic keratoses (thick wart-like, rough, reddish patches of skin), and skin cancer can all be traced to sun exposure. "

most people are more worried about their looks then about diying with cancer so I started talking about aging, now lets get down to the less important factor which is dying a horrible horrible death with cancer

the sun can cause skin cancer, ear cancer, breast cancer lip cancer and many other types of cancer that I won't mention(ma ilé jlédé you can google)

to avoid the sun's damage you need to:
  • Avoid the sun between 10 am and 3 pm (11 am and 4 pm daylight saving time).
  • Wear wide-brimmed hats, long-sleeved shirts, and long pants.
  • Consider wearing sun-protective clothing. Unlike sunscreen, this form of sun protection does not wear off. It is highly protective against UV radiation.
  • Use sunscreens that have a sun protection factor (SPF) of at least 15 and that have both UVA and UVB coverage.
  • Apply sunscreen at least 15 to 30 minutes before going out (follow the instructions on the label). Reapply every 2 to 3 hours - more often if you are swimming or perspiring.
  • Avoid tanning beds.

tab how can people get a nice tan in the summer with all these precautions :Tawa:

mr_j 05-19-2009 09:16 PM

you're asking the wrong person
I haven't been to the beach since 2005, I hate tans, before 2005 I used to swim with my shirt on and after 6 pm to avoid getting any tans. I don't know why people like getting tans and risk getting burns and cancer

and last but not least, I like white girls who seem to become harder and harder to find during summer, which drove me to write this thread in the first place :hawhaw:
