are you a risk taker?

this topic is mainly refering to money. it's one of the main arguments I have with my father, he never takes risks, he has his money in the bank just sitting there for the past 20 years, he works the same safe moderate income job he had all his life...etc

we even had a fight when I was switching from ogero to sodetel because to him it was an unecessary risk :hawhaw:

his arguments is that why risk when we are perfectly comfrotable in life?

my argument is, we will only live once, why not aim high?

most of the rich people got rich taking risks, people who started out with no money, but they traveled to a country they do not know looking for a job, leaving their family behind. people who have saved up money by working for 5 to 10 years then they risked all that money by investing in the market or opening a shop...

would you take risks? if you had a good amount of savings with a nice safe bank interest and a perfectly safe mediocre life, would you risk it all to try and become rich?

yeh , i would with only 40% of what i have , and maybe more up to 60% , but never risk all of wat u have!

Im a risk taker, not only with money but when it comes to opportunities, major changes in life i always go for risks but not in a way "gheshe w meshe", when u always find a small opportunity to better yourself, you should always go for it. you don't have to skip it, u'll never know what are the exact consequences but if you fon't do it, you will always pass by many roads and just skip them all ur life and stay the way you are. which i am totaly against, people either improve themselves to a better person or in the bad case, they just stay the way they are (this one is the least good thing).

One should only take smart risks.
