Hey guys.

I noticed alot of you here are interested in downloading stuff available at Rapidshare.

My question is, why don't you buy a Rapidshare Premium Account ? What exactly prevents you from doing this ?

It's just a question I have been wondering alot about lately :p.

I bought an account from www.optimum-lb.com, I'm sharing it with my cousin so i pay 45$ a year, which is not much from the price vs. what you get point of view.

Exactly, I couldn't have said it better myself.

That's what I did this summer, bought a one year account, and I'm extremely satisfied with it.

I encourage members to do the same by thinking this way, you buy a one year account for approximately 90$, and you download stuff worth much much much more.

So my question is for the other members, what's stopping you from doing what Neoxter, myself, and other people like us did ?

the only reason why people don't buy something useful is money (provided a good connection is available)

well I haven't been able to find someone I can trust to share an account with me(and split the price)

11 $ a month is too much for me(seing as how I also need to pay 40$ ichtirak moteur, 25$ for the internet, and I am living alone here and my parents bil jabal) and I am the only person in my house that needs internet and ichtirak

most the programs and stuff that need rapidshare can also be found on megaupload, hotfiles etc...

our DSL connections(and other types of connections) will not alow us to take advantage of rapidshare aslan
rapidshare gives you like 5 GB a day and your connection will maximum let you download between 1 and 2 GB a day that is if you do not use your net for anything else

I also have alot of expenses. I pay 50$ per month for my 512 Kb/s DSL connection, and 40$ for gym. Beleive it or not, If you try to cut down on the useless stuff that drain your money (I'm not talking about mr_j in particular, but about anyone in general), in no time you will have 100$ to pay for a one year account.

Rapidshare has a limit for you to download each day, but if you do not use this limit fully, the remaining traffic you did not use will be added to your benefit, which means the next day you will have 6 GB for example.

Now, I leave my computer on from 11 PM till 7 AM (which is the Unlimited Period) and download 2.8 GB per night. Is this a not good enough number in your opinion mr_j ?

One question man. How are you sharing it with your cousin ? :/ Multiple IP's cause a ban to your Rapidshare Premium Account.

I have 256 so I can download(an estimated) 1.2 GB a night

I know the traffic remains but for what use? I will never be able to download it

and it seems from your post that you can afford your expenses, I cannot, I am short on money, I had a bloody battle with my father just to expand my internet from 128 to 256, I use to go to the uni gym but now since the uni is over for the summer, I won't go to the gym for 3 month because also I cannot afford gym

there are no expenses I can cut down on, I don't even have a car and I don't even go out

lol i once stole someone's account and i shared it with my cousin and me and another friend, and nothin happened..and i used to have several accounts shared by warez members all over the world but they didn't last long :p

what do you mean? if as los blancos question, i think it can be shared with up to the 3-4 users easily.. bearing in mind that u have 5 gb per day which might be a concern if the number of users increases, but it also depends on qouta that can be downloaded by each member, for example 4 users with 512k connection each can't share an account but 4 users with 128k each can easily do.
