connecting to the internet though your mobile
 

is it possible to use internet on my laptop through my cell phone?
the nokia PC suit has the option of allowing me to use my phone as a modem, but when I connect that way, although it seems the connection is established and all, bas nothing works
MSN messenger dagnosis shows error bel key port wel host file, DNS is ok
when I use a browser, I can see a high packet activity(received w sent) just nothing loads :(

help me :(

What Nokia are you using?

P.S: I done it once using my 5130 and it worked fine.

yes it was possible 3-4 months ago... through pc suit, but you had 2 do some modifications..
but since then, it seems that mtc changed the host ip or disabled it .. not sure, but since then it didn't work anymore.

for tethering you need 3G connection and an S60v3/5 phone.

exactly like terra net modem and other stuff I used to get worked
in my mountain, it is either that or modem
modem ya3né pay 20$ 7a2 el carte, then pay again depending on how many hours you use it
and all I want is an access to MSN when I need it iza addet a couple of days fo2
so yes it would work better than regular modem
