It's the civilization of the Maya, they foretold that the world will end on the 21st of December 2012 and no one up till now proved them wrong.

bottom line, acient civilizations were not as smart as we are

now talking seriously, i don't believe in that, no matter what happens, i think human race is ready to destroy even a galaxy without feeling any damage, so let's wait n c:D

well when i first heard of it i did some research and found out that it's not only according to the Mayan calender it is also mentioned in various holy books, Christians call it the Rupture, and Muslims call it "zouhour al mahdi". actually that each 4000+ years the planets in our galaxy take a unique disposition, on 21/12/2012 they will be all aligned with the sun forming a strait line, scientifically speaking this could cause a reversal in earth's polarity which means than the earth will turn backward due the resulting magnetic field and the polarities will revert back to normal within few days. actually there is a movie called 2012 when i saw the trailer i decided to do some search. and due to this theory many people started to make their own theories, some say that the reason why NASA is putting such importance in finding an equivalent planetarium system to earth and improving space travel is to absorb that catastrophe, some say aliens.... i beleive that there is a thread about this on the forum made by emilio i will search to check
