i want to ask the php develloper in this forum,
do you prefer to work on a framework??? and which php framework in your opinion is better and why do you use it.. ??

i am used to create from scratch all my php applications but i felt interested lately about discovering some php frameworks such as cakephp and symfony. i tried reading about cakephp for sometime but its documentation is not easy to follow and it doesnt really really go too far from being a featered and traditional php framework while symfony framework adopted many of ruby on rails ideas with a very friendly online manual/book that could be used as a reference as well. i am stillreading about symfony and saw lot of positive reviews.

i will post a more detailed post when i get to my pc.

in my work they told me to use cakePHP, and then I discovered that it is great and it is very easy and fast... now im reading about the zend framework to know why it is so popular.. i think zend is good (just because it is so popular) but i prefer cakePHP (because i know it (it's easy and fast)...
xcoder: I would recommend you to learn cakePHP version 1.2 and you’ll get to learn the best php framework by far.

im interested in MVC im required to build some costumized system the CMS is not doing the job anymore.
