Steps to Win 2013 Elections?

2009 Elections was a big Failure for Opposition in general and For FPM precisely.

What do u think are the required steps, the required strategy on all levels, to be the winners in 2013 elections?!

Lots of you will tell me that we win in 2009 elections but lets be real we were expecting to get a bigger number of seat.

According to the elections FPM popularity decreased whether we like to admit this or not, a huge media war was held against FPM and GMA, in front of all this we were able to have additional seats.

But this was enough to start our journey through change and reform.

In your opinion what is required in order to swap this parliament in 2013?!

in my opinion it is too early to talk about the elections in 2013... nobody knows what might happen from now till then ...

but what FPM should do is a lot of work :

1- they should organise the party because the way things are going can't lead to anything good

2- our deputees should be close to ppl and working days and nights to improve their conditions instead of making too much tv appearances and attending dinners and stuff like that ( am not saying thats not important but there are many things they can do that are more imp).

3- there should be a sort of autocritique for all the things we've done in the past 4 years : from the stupid idea of camping in the CV to lots of other things we could have managed better....

El-Meghwar 11-25-2009 02:17 PM

Things should start first by reorganizing FPM, and putting a clear strategy showing clearly FPM's political line and identity so people stop labeling it into different categories, even some FPMers does not know anything about their political identity, some are leftist, others are rightist.. some are secular, others are sectarian!!

FPM should get back to the real track by insisting on its secular nature, the "Christian representation" poem made us lose a lot.
It's true that FPM represents the majority of the Christians in Lebanon, but it doesn't necessary means that it is a Christian party, this point should be clear to everyone, especially those silly FPMers who keep repeating "General Aoun is the protector of Christians" we doesn't need such heads in FPM anyway, fix their heads or just let them join LF... protecting us from what for God's sake !!? lool

A very clear political program with permanent targets and a certain plan to reach these targets and stick to its principles is a necessity,FPM cannot criticize corruption inside the government while having ministers inside this government who are not able to do anything to stop corruption or fight it in an effective way, if you can't do anything call for demonstrations, sit-ins, but don't cover mistakes just for the sake of having some seats in the government.

I completely agree with El-Meghwar, the FPM is a completely secular party and should stay this way. By using this approach we will gain public from every religion and sect.

On the other hand we should focus more on organizing the structure of the party, especially during elections, the FPM is not organized at all.

There are certain members in the party that have a big influence and are really educated and cultured, such as Nicholas Sahnewe, these people should be pushed forward.
And finally the party should gain more popularity among the youngsters, ye3ne between the age of 16 and 24. Believe it or not this age range is very influenced by LF and they think that the LF want their best. certain methods should be used to make such young people want to be FPMers.

Good luck :D

i couldnt agree more about the popularity amongst youngsters but lets face it youngsters are mainly shallow so hearing a man screaming on tv dsnt really push them towards joining his party they prefer to hear some1 whos calm & sounds good even if he was delivering bullshit they will buy it & like it. w wa2ta yessma3o enno michel aoun is responsible for "closing" DT 3a sene w noss they dnt care if its true or not they will be influenced by it. w specialy ychoufo l deviation between l batrak w michel aoun w yesma3o 3am bekeb kel machekil l balad 3a rass michel aoun even if they havnt been 2 church for the past year ra7 yet2assaro.
w specialy l mobile costs that got higher that has a huge impact among them.
1) l general yotla3 3al tv 2arwa2 chway
2) tkhef l machekil ma3 bkerke (hatta law bass on the surface)
3) yzabto mawdou3 wizarit l itisalet w sari3an
4) yechteghlo 3al wizarat yalle hasslin 3laya hala2
that would b a start

To win the elections in 2013

1- Focus on every 14 year old kid, focus on the YOUTH in schools and Unis.

2- Focus on the Lebanese people outside Lebanon! Organize them!

3- Pray alla ytawil 3omro la GMA!

4- FPM internal elections!
