Doesn't matter where you look, wherever there is a crowd, there is at least one idiot among them. So if you found one metal song about granddaddy rape, I'm not surprised.
But in the case of the hiphop/rap crowd, for every sane artist there are at least 50 idiots.

All hiphop/rap songs have two things in common, the first is B!tches and the other is the word "I". It's all "I have a nice car", "I'm good in bed", "I have way too much sex", "B!tches think I'm hot" and so on. Not to mention, the advocacy of drug use.

On this point I agree with you, songs from the 80's and early 90's aren't bad.
And in the early days of rap, songs were used as a form of protest.
