أعلن وزير الطاقة جبران باسيل ان "مؤسسة كهرباء لبنان ستعلن عن خفض في تعرفات كلفة الإشتراك في التيار الكهربائي لمدة 6 أشهر تبدأ من أول نيسان كمرحلة أولى من أجل تشجيع الفئات الفقيرة على الإشتراك والتوقف عن استخدام التيار الكهربائي بصورة غير شرعية"، مؤكدا في مؤتمر صحافي "تخفيض كلفة الإشتراك في التيار الكهربائي لن ينعكس سلباً على خزينة الدولة بل سيأتي بمردود اضافي".
وحذر باسيل "بعد انقضاء هذه المرحلة من استمرار سرقة التيار الكهربائي"، داعياً المشتركين إلى "رفع قدرة عداداتهم لأنهم سيكونون ملزمين برفعها من 5 إلى 10 أمبير في مرحلة أولى ومن ثم إلى 15 أمبير"، مشيراً إلى أن "هناك حوافز لذلك وهي كناية عن توزيع 600 سخان للمياه على الطاقة الشمسية".
وأعلن وزير الطاقة أن "العمل مستمر لتأمين التيار على مدى 24 ساعة لتنتفي الحاجة إلى مولدات الأحياء".
ورفض باسيل الردّ على اتهامات النائب الاسبق فريد الخازن، قائلاً إن "شؤون الناس أهم"، ولكنّه تطرق إلى موضوع معالجة التلوث الناجم عن معمل الذوق، مشيراً الى أن "المعالجة تكون باستبدال هذه المعامل بأخرى غير ملوّثة

The only way to make them get their situation legal is by paying them to subscribe.

Bas i do believe that lowering the price will increase the consumption like anything else and that's what we can't afford.
More consumption > more energy needed > our stations are weak and limited > more te2nin.

The first thing to be done is to force the population to pay their bills.
Inno we can't nag day and night of why we're in 2010 with no electricity when we don't pay our basic bills.

The state and the population are to blame in this situation.
The government never put enough effort to solve this problem and the population tries to rob the public services that are already @#$!$# up.

yeh maybe what x said was right , i think that he should even increase the prices to lower the consumption , that way more electricity hours
