Men and body hair

Me and a friend were just talking about the subject of how much hair on a male body is too much and how much is too little.

If you walk on the beach where I live, about 3/4 guys would have zero body hair, which I think is too little (look like a 12 year old and you will confuse them for girls sometimes). But I do believe that one shouldn't look like a monkey either..

Now the important thing is what girls think of this, not us. In Sweden, body hair anywhere other that the legs, arms or chest is usually a "yuck", and even in those places it should be under control.

Now I wonder what's it like in Lebanon, I mainly interested in the female opinion but guys can say what they think too.

back hair=yucky, I have seen some people on the beach with back hair, it does not look good on anyone
in all other places, keep them under control
about mustaches and beards, old people seem to look better in mustaches than younger ones, dunno why (I never tried growing a mustache or a beard and I don't think I ever will :p )

Shaving will kill you, you will have to do it regularly and everytime you do it'll itch like hell. I shaved my shoulders and lower back on two occasions, it was such an agony the day after that the third time I grabbed some wax and removed them. Doesn't hurt as much as in the movies (the back and shoulders at least), and the hair hasn't grown back yet (It has been about 6 weeks).
With shaving the hair grows back after only a day, just like your beard. And it will look thick.

However, waxing your chest will hurt a lot, so do it only if you're tough enough :D
Believe me, these guys aren't overreacting.

waxing your body hair will make you look gay lol
i was discussing the idea with my GF she prefers that i trim my body hair and not wax/laser removal, usually lebanese girl dont like hair free skin men.
Hair on men is a part of showing "men"

Yes, I agree that you do look kind of gay without any hair at all.
But why shave your back hair and not wax it, or even consider laser removal? If you know you don't ever want it, why not?
The places I've waxed are my lower back, shoulders and the sides of my stomach, these are places I know I don't want to ever have hair on and if laser was cheap I'd do it. The rest of my chest I've started to trim.

Almost all the guys here are hair free and it does annoy me cause it really does look pathetic, but another thing that annoys me are guys who don't bother with taking care of the hair at all and then complain if a girl has 1 mm long hairs on her arms.

Chest hair is part of being a man but an organic sweater isn't :p

P.S: Where are all the girls? Your opinion matters more in this thread :D

Well since you are interested in a girl's point of view i would have to say do not over do it, we do not want to date gay guys but we like clean guys so less hair means cleaner guys (less sweat, no monkey...) so i guess trimming is good.
Halla2 about shaving, shaving will increase the number of hairs ye3ne if you have a lil bit of hair if you shave them their number will increase. trust me i know :$

I was afraid of that before I shaved my shoulders, it was actually what got me to hesitate and not do it sooner. But after some research I found out that it's just really an incredibly widespread myth. The hair tips are soft, small and pointy so when you shave you cut the tip and it doesn't grow back. Instead the hair grows from the bottom of the hair sack, which means that the ""new tip will be flat and wide and not slim/pointy. That makes it look like more hair.

But when you wax/pluck the entire hair is removed along with the sack. A new hair will grow from scratch and it will have a soft tip. Also, every time you wax a certain percentage of the hair sacks never gets rebuilt. So the number of hairs does decrease.
