Vcoderz IRC channel

The title is clear: Vcoderz IRC channel.
We, staff are ready to manage an IRC channel dedicated for Vcoderz.
IRC? Who doesn't know?
It is an internet relay chat protocol allowing instant messaging. It is more suitable for group conversation than other IM clients like MSN messenger.
Another thing to mention: We don't like to fail.
That's why you see a poll on the top for you to vote for the idea. By supporting the idea, you agree that you will be going to visit the channel and participate in the conversations there. This is just to avoid having 30 person supporting the idea and at the end getting only 2-3 persons visiting the channel.
If you want my opinion; It will be a cool thing to have if we have serious participation.

i support the idea alot .. its fun and fast way to communicate ... and i prefer DALnet

People don't activate and dis-activate a channel.
Once a channel is allocated, it will be available all the time.
You don't pay money if you talk. You don't pay money for keeping a channel open.
Anyway, maybe some of you aren't really familiar with IRC. However, if everything went well I will open a thread on the basic things to do (from downloading and installing the IRC client to connecting to the server, joining the channel and start talking).

My experience tells that such things being created in the forums are becoming inactive. I don't think it will be poplular. But let it be, I voted "yes".
And more, I'm ready to help you managing this chat if some help will be needed.

A large percentage of my communication online is done via IRC where some of them are tunneled and secured. So yes, it might be used for work thing more than social thing.

There are many. eg:
MIRC, Xchat, Irssi, Chatzilla, Pidgin...
