Basic Rules to keep you Alive - Part II

1] RULE 1: NEVER trust civilians in enemy or unknown terrain. NEVER. Do not eat or drink anything they offer, and try to avoid their questions. Don’t be over suspicious, but also, never be overconfident. And never be rude or abusive with civilians. As long as they don’t hurt you or constitute a direct threat to you, be extremely polite with them, but don’t trust them.

2] When you’re in a shooting or observation position in a building, always choose a window with a dark background to stand behind. And watch that rifle’s end; make sure it never goes out from the window or opening you’re shooting with.

3] In night combat situations avoid shooting from the same place for too long especially if shooting with an AK-47; the muzzle flash will expose your position quite quickly. So unless you have a really good flash suppressor installed on your rifle, keep moving from one place to another, alternate positions, shoot only at targets, and a reminder, the golden rule, rifles never set in full-auto mode.

4] Out of personal experience, when under attack by heavy artillery or tanks, and you’re in a building area, and can’t leave your position, go up to the roof. The roof is the safest place, especially if its a tall building. When you’re in a room or inside an apartment or even in the shelter, wherever a bomb falls, you will be hit by shrapnel or fragments… most of our injuries were shrapnel injuries by the way. When you’re on the roof, unless the bomb directly hits you, (a 1 out of million probability) you won’t be injured, and if it hits, well, you’re really really unlucky!

5] Avoid using RPG-7’s in urban combat situations, its useless. A lot of rife’ will not share that idea with me, but in street to street combat, or room-to-room fights, it was proven useless. It’s useless against infantry, and you need a lot of expertise to be able to stop a tank with it since the tank has only certain limited areas which are vulnerable to the RPG rocket, but that’s a whole different issue. The RPG-7’s backfire is also really annoying, you have to look behind you and check that there is no one standing there or a wall, etc…. The best rocket launchers to use in urban warfare are either the LAW or the Carl-Gustave, the latter being equipped with special anti infantry rockets. For armored vehicles, the MILAN is 100% effective.

6] When clearing a building or a house, always check the places no one ever checks… the attics, water tanks, balconies, etc… this is where they always hide, lol, damn rats!

7] Two common and lethal mistakes to avoid when throwing grenades inside a room or a building’s entrance, 1) Make sure there is no wall on the other side where the grenade would hit and come back bouncing to you… not funny at all! 2) Beware throwing the grenade and jumping after it inside the room before it blows. Its very easy to get over excited. This is really serious, and it happened a lot, that’s why you should always check where you’re throwing the grenade and have your buddy grab you when throwing it… he’ll only let you go when it blows up. That’s a standard training procedure, the first thing we all learned in urban warfare training.

8] When charging inside the building, in narrow corridors or staircases or small rooms, if you’re not the first man, always keep your gun up, in a 60 degrees angle. And unless you want to shoot, keep that finger off that trigger!!! You’ll end up shooting a buddy in the back by mistake. This happened a lot too, the main cause of friendly casualties. So watch it too

How to Spray Paint the LF Cross
This tutorial deals with the making of the LF cross stencil (2aleb) 4D and then using it to spray paint the logo. This project will cost you $1.5 and will take around 15 minutes to complete.
http://www.lebaneseforces.com/images/spraying/items.jpg
The Materials
The following items are needed:
- Printout of the LF cross
- Cardboard box
- Red spray paint
- Ruler
- Cutter
- Masking tape
http://www.lebaneseforces.com/images/tshirt/step-1.jpg
The Logo
You need to print the logo onto an A4 sized sheet. The color doesn't matter but the darker the better. We used black.
http://www.lebaneseforces.com/images...g/carboard.jpg
Preparing the Cardboard
Since the cardboard box I got was big, I had to cut it until i got a nice solid rectangular piece which was a decent size.
http://www.lebaneseforces.com/images...ing/taping.jpg
Preparing to Cut
We will now start cutting our stencil. What is a stencil? A stencil is a sheet made from plastic or cardboard, in which a desired lettering or design has been cut so that paint applied to the sheet will reproduce the pattern on the surface beneath.

Now before we start cutting you need to tape the A4 sheet with the logo onto the cardboard piece. The cutting surface should be the floor since it would be easier to apply pressure to the cutter.
http://www.lebaneseforces.com/images...ng/cutting.jpg
The Cutting Begins
Now start cutting the logo out. Don't rush or you might start cutting away from the line. Only cut around the black. It might be easier to cut as if you are sawing with an up and down motion. Tip: place another cardboard sheet underneath the main one. This will make cutting a lot easier.

Nearly Done Cutting..
I prefer cutting each black part separately so I can keep track of what I have cut and what I haven't. Once you cut a part out, remove it gently and slowly.
http://www.lebaneseforces.com/images/spraying/done.jpg
Once you have finished cutting, remove the tape and A4 sheet. When you lift up your cardboard it should look something like the picture above.
http://www.lebaneseforces.com/images...g/spraying.jpg
Ready to Spray
Now is the fun part. Get your spray paint and place your stencil on a flat surface. Then from a distance of around 30 centimeters start spraying by quickly moving left to right, left to right etc. Do not spray in one location too long and do not spray from a very close distance or else the paint will start to run down the wall.
http://www.lebaneseforces.com/images/spraying/final.jpg
The Result
Once you are done spraying remove the stencil from the wall and step back. You should see a beautiful red cross permanently spray painted onto the wall. That's all there is to it.

Mass Spraying
You could use your stencil over and over to spray paint as many times as you want. A friend of mine was able to spray paint 200 logos from 1AM to 5AM using the same stencil.

Look Out
When mass spraying it is best you drive around in 3 cars which follow each other. The middle car is where the spray painting occurs, the first car is 30 meters ahead and the last car is 30 meters behind. The front and back cars are the lookouts for the middle car. If they see a car approaching they would honk the horn and the people spraying would have to stop and get back into the middle car.

The Lebanese Forces Weapons
When the civil war started, the LF received large amounts of weapons from Israel and purchased more from eastern Europe. Near the end of the war, the Lebanese Forces shifted from eastern European to western (NATO) weapons. In addition to all this, a very large amount of weapons was received from Iraq in 1988. Other equipment was "obtained" from the Lebanese army or bought on the black market.

Most militia-members had Israeli uniforms. Distinctive uniforms were used for special and elite units.

Now this is sad...very, very sad...

edit: I realize that this is not an official site for the lebanese forces. But still, this is saaaad...

If not that site's media section, I didn't come to vcoderz. I found smth (don't really remember, it was an LF song), then searched in Google, then found-searched-found and, finally, I got to VC.
