Turkish naval warships to accompany Turkish prime minister on the next aid mission

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan is said to be considering sailing to the GAZA strip with an aid flotilla backed by Turkish Navy ships, international news media reported. The Lebanese newspaper al Mustaqbal quoted a security source as saying that the Turkish Prime Minister has been pondering a move that could break the blockage imposed by Israel against Gaza.

It said that ” as part of the open conflict between Turkey and Israel following the massacre against the ‘Freedom Sail’ to Gaza and the protest sparked around the world, the Turkish Prime minister is considering sailing to Gaza himself in order to break the naval blocked imposed by Israel.”

The report added that the Turkish Prime minister has informed the U.S of their intention to use the Turkish navy to provide an escort for another aid flotilla – however Washington has pleaded with him to delay the plan whilst it tries to work out a diplomatic solution to end the blockage.

An Israeli spokesman responded to the possibility of Prime Minister Erdogan joining a flotilla on Sky News that “such a move was not a realistic scenario” and dismissed it as nothing but political manoeuvring. “Some of these reports must be taken with a grain of salt … I am not sure that is a realistic scenario,” he told Sky News.

Turkey has heavily condemned Israel for a deadly raid on a Gaza aid flotilla and the Prime Minister has said that he is “assessing deals with Israel”, once its close ally.

i dont think thats going to happen , if it does , it means world war 3 , the israelis can NEVER in anyway let another country impose their will on them , they will attack his ships and probably do a massacare as a heavy response (they wont settle for a small response like taking the ships to ashdod) , doing such an action the turkish army will march towards isreal

USA and Israel will not allow themselves to be humiliated in such a way, so i guess Israel will finally surrender for a diplomatic solution to end Gaza's blockage.

In addition to that i don't think that Turkey will go so far in this, after all they are seeking their seat in the EU, they are members of NATO, they cannot stand against the American master.
