Lebanon's VoIP ban
 

This thread should have been opened a long time ago. I've been reading up on the subject in the orange room and i still see no valid reason why it has been banned.

Has Charbel Nahhas or FPM issued any statements adressing the matter? What about news reports??

Skype, Magicjack, webcalldirect...all of them. Pc to Pc calls are ok but Pc to phone calls are out of the question. Companies are losing money over this and are packing their bags and relocating :@

Just check this thread in the orange room. Some of them are company owners and complaining about the business they lost because of this idiotic move :@

I once heard from an Egyptian guy that there was a way to call Egypt (Land phones) from the PC with a very very low cost (almost for free) and he knew that it was illegal. He didn't know what was the way the guy was using to make phone calls.
I guess that's why VOIP is banned in Lebanon now.
This story is like 3 weeks old btw...

I don't know ... But are we back to the Dark Ages ??
