International Checks and Bank accounts
Hey Guys I was just wondering If anyone has previously encountered an international check? I recieved one from www.click2pay.com. I tried asking banks if they'd accept such a check and not even one does. It was a crossed check so I definitely had to deposit it into an account ( which i don't own). So I was also wondering "isa badeh ifta7 7seb jereh ( no interest) 7adan 3indo ayya suggestions?

Lemme get it right, are you trying to get the money of the check instantly and not put it on your bank account?
Such checks take too long to clear, sometimes it can go up to 20 days. So just have a bank account and get it cleared =) |
hehe thing is i tried opening an account with it. Many banks didnt let me. Do you know any banks that accept such checks?

try bank audi.

first step to cash this kind of checks is to open an account at any bank ( blom , audi , ... ) then you have to sign a certain document that it is required from the lebanese goverment which states that you give the right to the bank to clear this check for you , after that you place this check in collection at your bank and it will take a bit long to be cleared 20 to 30 days. any other question you are free to ask me.

thing is i tried opening a current bank account at audi with 70 euros...usually any amount is acceptable to start with but they asked for a bigger amount :S. i had to return the check and get a bigger amount (690 euros). Do you think it will take longer to clear if the check is in euros? and do you think theyll allow me to open up an account using thsi check?

Just get some money from someone, get the check cleared then pay back. You can't open an account using money you don't have yet. It looks logical to me that all banks are behaving the same way.
