University Elections 2010

Elections in universities are coming soon. NDU's election are fixed on the 5th of november. And let's be honest, Social Club (aka FPMers at NDU) have been losing for the past two years, so my question is do you think Social Club has a chance of winning this year?

University elections does not always reflect political position of the students, many tmes masalan a friend of yours byenzal on the opposing list, so you vote for him, other times the other group is simply helping you out more with homework and providing previous exams.

honestly, I wish university elections will be free from these big political struggles, and maybe our students will learn to vote based on who is working more rather than who is holding the same color flag as you

1st i don't think universities election should be related to politics....
2nd and as mr_j said uni elections doesn't really show the political position of the voter since usually the person will vote to the people helping him (ex: debate club in ndu are doing a really good job while social club aren't)
3rd i think elections in lebanon are useless ....whether universities elections or parliamentary elections or whatever....

In LAU the competition now is mostly about who can provide more free food, the university in the past week was closer to being a night club :hawhaw: loud music all the time w bungee jumping and stuff. I think the LSF still has the upper hand when it comes to academic help, after almost every class I have been at there was always an LSF student handing me a free useful manual or book or summary of my course and they organize free extra sessions after class to solve problems of courses, I didn't hear of any such activities from the social list, either they are not doing them or they are not advertising well enough

No wonder why our country is so retard and corrupt.
These elections shouldn't be related at all with politics.
I don't care about it neither about its results, i just worry about my friends from being hit by a chair or being shot when a problem will occur between the uncivilized students who should be working in some farms instead of going to universities, because they know nothing at all about elections or the concept of democracy.
